I own this as an alternate phone to my iPhone 15 pro. Almost no lag, fast scrolling, bigger screen than I asked for. Exceeded beyond my expectations for a phone this price. The only thing I wish it had was wireless charging.
It looks so much better than the Samsung galaxy a14 5g. It lagged so much 😫 I’m getting the moto g play tomorrow. Thanks for showing more of the moto g play! Not a lot of people show how it works after their first video review.
Motorola makes excellent budget phones and this G play 24 looks like the most solid $150 phone you can buy. Cheap android phones are getting really good. I'd take a reliable Motorola phone over any iPhone. Currently using a XR and really starting to hate iOS and missing Motorola.
Don't fret bro, we can all relate to the pain of accidentally dropping a phone, I bet you reply it in your head a hundred times hoping things went differently, but dw you're a tech TH-camr these kinda thing's are bound to happen once in a while ... Let's just be happy it wasn't the Google fold that got it..😅
Im still here. Don't worry about it. We understand. In a way this turned out to be a good thing. You just showed us how durable the phone is. Even after you dropped it, it still works.
Can you help me out? See if Call of Duty Mobile is supported on the phone, if you can download it at all? If you see it in the play store, it should be all good 10:29 what game is that Is this cod Warzone 11:53
Enjoy your channel. Quick question, did you experience any charging problems with G Play 2024? I have the phone and want to replace my Play 2021 with it. I have been reading reviews claiming it won't charge or won't charge completely. Thanks!
@CButler Yes much worse than yours Almost unusable It's funny haven't Cracked a screen in years. Should have had a protector on it Ordering another one
Happened to me not long after I got my Moto G Power 2020. Had it in my lap in car and when I opened door to swing out it fell out onto the pavement but it was ok. Didn't scratch the screen or anything. Was lucky I guess?
This is my phone right now, I like it. However, it has no cardless tap to pay like my last phone the cricket outlast did and they're priced around the same. This moto has slightly better performance than the outlast though and the fingerprint scanner is better.
Let's not kid ourselves. I buy only budget phones. But Samsung is smart with the 3 or 4 years of Android updates. But we no with all budget phones after 2 major updates with the budget processors and low ram the phone will get slow and lagging on the Mediatek internals. Samsung knows a lot of us will then get another Samsung budget phone with years of updates but budget phones internals overall will not run smooth as more large updates and apps larger than ever. Not saying anything wr6 with the updates but the security updates are great. Moto only does 1 year android updates on their G series phones and 2 years security. But $49 for the Moto g play 2024 or $59 for the 2023 G stylus and 1 android updates and 2 years of security updates. Not a bad investment. If you still want updates after 1 or 2 years $50 still great for a new phone every 1 or 2 years.
I used to be a Motorola fan girl but recently I just can't do it. They are horrible with their updates. I would much rather get a Samsung and get 4-5 years of updates and in my opinion better features
for $100-$200 phones, who cares about the updates. I think my moto G 2021 got one OS update, I think from Android 10 to 11. I am still on 11 and so far I haven't had any issues not being able to run the apps I want. I am getting the new 2024 moto G play because my screen is shattered on my 2021. I don't know if Samsung updates their lower priced phone often, maybe they do?
Surprised the gorilla glass was broken so easily. Probably fruitless, but call Motorola and give them your video review and ask them to comment on the glass breaking.
My heart goes out to you. You haven't own the phone for long yet you cracked the glass.
Watching this on my G Play 2024. Can't beat it at the price point.
Can't beat it for the price. Forget about the point.
Damn, those notifications make me want this phone. I’m tired of the trash notifications on iPhone.

it's crazy how the budget phone is evolving thanks for the video !
I paid 40 bucls for ot at Walmart , I l8ve the direction Motorola is going , that UI is so smooth

Salute 💯. Yay Motorola 🎉
Nice follow up C!
Would you recommend this over the Umidigi A15??
Thanks so much brother🙏🏽
It's actually really close. I mean, the storage on the Umidigi would give it the advantage
How come you didn't have a phone case or cover on it?
I ordered a case two days before it had broke so I didn't get the case in time
@@CButler Bummer. I ordered a Poetic case for mine. It's still holding up, looking & feeling good 👍
@@jimbosvidbits6166 that's the one I have revolution and guardian 💯💪🏽
@@CButler Cool 😎

The battery is very very good
Hey C! Can you tell me if this is much faster than the Moto G Play 2023(crazy slow)?
Mad slow
Moto g play 2023 is hella slow
Thanks man
Can you help me out? See if Call of Duty Mobile is supported on the phone, if you can download it at all? If you see it in the play store, it should be all good

Can you do a review on MobileX?
Thinking about this as an upgrade for my very outdated Blu R2. It's nice to fine a new phone that isn't ridiculously overpowered or overpriced.
Is a great smartphone

The charge would go slow but when I switched to a different charger it went faster so it has to be the right charger
Thanks, what charger did you use for faster charge?
I'm sitll here
Cracked mine too
is it bad?
@CButler Yes much worse than yours
Almost unusable
It's funny haven't Cracked a screen in years. Should have had a protector on it
Ordering another one
I just got mine last week. Been playing Gamepass lately.
Hek eh, I dropped mine a couple times. I'm not ready the day it breaks 🫠
I have the galaxy a14 5g and i love it😊
I bought this one today. So far I'm pretty impressed by it compared to the Pixel 4a I'm coming from.
Yeah this phone is a little monster and surprised me too , didn't think it would be this good 💯
Congrats on your new phone bro👍🏾
Great video

That wasn't luck, Moto's normal glass is strong. Moto used the older Gorilla Glass 3 for the Moto G Play 2024.
This is my phone right now, I like it. However, it has no cardless tap to pay like my last phone the cricket outlast did and they're priced around the same. This moto has slightly better performance than the outlast though and the fingerprint scanner is better.

Thanks for the information
That phone does not appear to have a finger print activation. My moto g power does. I want a new phone and need the fingerprint security.
This one has the face and fingerprint for unlock
This or moto g power 2021
Better off with this

Same my sis has one i think still
Im a samsung guy myself for the simple reason how many yrs of updates i get 4 or 5 yrs beats 2 or 3 in my opinion

Yeah Samsung gave the a15 5g 4 years OS updates and 5 years security updates , but I feel you
Im still here lol
Thanks bro
It's a very good low end phone...15 W charging isn't fast... 4 GB RAM isn't great... Entry level phone... Great for a little kid or Senior Citizen.

Hey bro good video😊. Motorola is stepping up but I prefer Samsung devices. #imstillhere Salute 🫡
