The San people are definitely the most marginalised group in my country. Because their source of food was from the wilderness, their lifestyle was affected when national parks and such were erected causing animals and plants to become protected by law. They can't roam as freely as they used to, but they struggle to adjust to the modern lifestyle too: case in point moving back to the bush despite being given land on which to farm and having been built houses by the state. Anyway, thank you for the video and genuine interest in learning about Africa and her people. God bless you Wode Maya 🙏❤

Interesting discoveries. The people called coloureds in South Africa cape provinces are definitely Khoisan with a mixture of various groups. However, they lost their cultures and languages due to colonialism. Your guides in Namibia are eloquent and doing sterling work.

Coloured refers to people of mixed race.
All sorts of South African cultures (Xhosa, Tswana, etc) have hunter-gatherer ancestry. Many Coloureds also don't, while some do.
And no it isn't 80%, that's just factually not true.
Coloured is not an ethnic group. It's a diverse generally-Afrikaans speaking *culture* that's ethnically and racially different one person/family to the next.
e.g. People who are South Asian are in the category, people who are of Caucasian descent mixed with Asian are in the category, Asian with African, and many Afrikaans-speaking Africans who were classified as Coloured with the population registration act.
Also khoe-san is in fact a linguistic abstraction not a concrete tribe and, given the above, clearly saying Coloureds are khwe pastoralists is simply ahistorical and borders on appropriation given the broad origin of Coloureds.
The scientific genetic profile of Coloureds shows that it's main ethnic components are a Xhosa population, a Dutch East Indies population, a South Asian population and a Caucasian population.
There are other components but these are in fact the largest.
The Xhosa population is also where the majority of ancient hunter-gatherer ancestral markers come from. (what some people rather erroneously mean when they use the abstraction "khoisan", the other hunter-gatherer component would come from "bushmen", particularly in the Northern Cape, who have also largely been amalgamated into other groups.)
Here is the reference to the Coloured genetic profile:

Most underrated travel/world related channel around. You are bringing African culture to the digital media generation, shattering the outdated image that imperialist media such as Hollywood cinema and Western news outlets seared into the minds of the less educated by showing the rich depth and diversity of the continent all the while being funny, charismatic and engaging. Priceless content. Engaging info, stellar presentation. You need running up to a million subs and beyond bro

She is an educated upper class woman but still down to earth without any frills. Please do more work with her.

And yes we have Africans who are naturally light skinned,no bleaching or etc. They are nonviolent and harmonious people. They also have so much respect for nature. Don’t forget what the Germans did to some of them before the tried to exterminate the Jewish people, the genocide in Namibia. Just being transparent,I can understand why they are not keen on living in houses and preferring their way of life.Kana we are all cousins.love you
