Hi there, this is from the open beta months ago, so the gameplay in this video is not very relevant (NPCs got changed etc.) But to answer your question, they are low cost, and are good to use in case you need to take a hit off yourself (the NPCs will always try and kill it, if they can kill in one shot)
Well there's a bunch of different islands, and when you sail to them, you can see other players run around on the map. All combat is instanced like in Dofus.
So I just started playing waven this weekend and I’m still a noob. Your Xel is like day and night compared to mine, mine is garbage lol. I wanna build mine like yours, can you show me the build at this level (20 ish) and the skills ? Also if I already leveled up air and chance spells and already messed up everything can I reset my spells just like how we reset our skills ? Please advise. Thank you

Past lvl 20 you can’t do normal mission or dungeon solo, so how did you do ?
You can skip the restriction, by using a character under level 20 to go into the questgiver, then switch to your main and do the content :)
