Be authentic. Be personable. Be flexible. Be positive. Be someone that clients WANT to work with because you make their life so much easier and enjoyable. First and foremost a technical writer needs empathy for their audience and to be able to put themselves in the shoes of a newbie to a product or process. AI may be able to spit out cold hard facts, but it will never understand their audience the way a skilled writer can.
