  • After a full redesign for the 2023 model year for the Honda Accord, most everything has changed but one thing that has not changed at Accord’s foundation is the availability of a hybrid and non-hybrid version. While the 2.0T is no longer available, the two engine options include a hybrid powertrain that features a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder or the non-hybrid version of the Accord featuring a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. Which is better? Discover the answer in today’s Vehicle Visionary video!

    I traded my infiniti for the 2024 Accord hybrid about a month ago and I love this car. I have a crazy commute and I've already seen a significant savings in gas.

    I love my 2023 Hybrid Sport L. I also had concerns about not having a spare tire, but I was able to find the official Honda part numbers for the spare tire kit. It has the proper foam insert for the spare, wheel, spare tire, jack, etc. It is a little pricey though at about $300 to $400, but well worth it. And of course the Hybrid has the same trunk space for the spare. The hybrid battery is behind the rear seat. It doesn't interfere with the spare.

    Okay question, i just got a 24 lx . Drives perfect no overheating or anything. I do get a slight smell if the ac gets warmer. This normal being newer 300 miles i traded a civic 23 model needed extra room. I do not see any leaking antifreeze nothing. Possibly burn off??

      I am buying this on tuesday as my other Honda, 2017 civic was totaled in a T bone Dec.13, It also had zero issues the entire time I owned it. Bought used 12,000km for 23,000$. Had 50,000km on it when it was destroyed. Breaks my heart that vehicle would sell for $31,000 in Canada right now.

    Sport hybrid. I like the wheels better. No spare. When it came time to buy new tires, I'd buy run flat tires. I know they have stiffer sidewalls and a rougher ride but it would give me a warm fuzzy felling knowing I had them when there is no spare tire.

    • @brentjs121
      @brentjs121 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Run flats are great, but keep in mind they don't typically last as long as non-run flats and cost quite a bit more.

    At $3 per gallon the Turbo would use about $9375 in gas per 100000 miles and the hybrid would use about $6820 in gas. ( considering combined MPG ) Difference would be about $2555. Help me understand why I should buy the hybrid with a price tag that is about $5000 more. Did I miss something here? We did go look at the Accord and they are nice vehicles.

    • @asandiegoguy
      @asandiegoguy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If the price of gas doubles,so does the savings. Also, some of us drive almost exclusively around town, where are the hybrid has a bigger MPG advantage. And lastly, we keep our cars closer to 150k. And in Southern California, we have been paying five dollars or more per gallon for several years now. It has actually popped above six dollars per gallon a few times. My bigger concern is, how does the hybrid hold up when you get up to the higher mileage. More or less likely to have problems when you get to 150,000 miles or more?

    I traded my 2020 Accord EX to the 2023 Accord Sport Hybrid, and was the worst decision I ever made. The build quality on the new Hondas is on the cheap side (even cheaper than usual). The interior panels are not well engineered, causing them to move easily and rattle excessively. I should have kept the 10th generation. My 2023 has been to the dealer shop 9 times, with different issues ranging from the engine compartment components, to the suspension. It's unfortunate how we can no longer rely on the reliability from Hondas. Please review the entire current Honda lineup before commenting.

    @9546aw 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    TBe warned: Honda Accord Hybrids do not come with a spare tire. You do get a tire repair kit and an air pump. Just visualize yourself trying to repair a flat tire in the rain on a car that doesn't have a jack or tire iron.. It is almost comical. I see almost all of the reviews skip the lack of a spare and focus on the shape of the tail lights.

      I can understand the concerns with #1, 2, and 3 if you live in an area that’s super cold and can’t take care of the roads, but #4 seems kind of odd - why the need for XM radio? It made sense prior to smartphone integration in cars, but now it’s as unnecessary as a CD player.

    I ONLY drive Hondas!!! However, i don't trust the 1.5 liter turbo and I will not buy the hybrid because of a lack of a spare tire so my next car will be the 2024 Honda Pilot or the '24 Acura MDX. 👍👍👍

    Based on today's price for gas when driving 100000 miles you saving on hybrids car $1500.00, now the moment you reach 100000 mile you need to get new battery with cost from $40000 - $8000, so it is not saving at all think twice invest in gas engine only

      @@trispenis5199 The only way that Accord looks kind of decent is fully loaded. other than that it looks like an old Ford Taurus merged with the old A7. Thats the look only a die hard Honda fan will love. Most people who buys it wont be for the looks. Its a roomy, nice riding, dependable car for the family. The realty however the use to be bland camry is now more sporty than the tuner accord. The Accord has grown bland and if you want that sporty ride from honda go for the Acura TLX.
