The styling is actually way better than you might initially think. I saw one in person and it has a really clean, modern, presence to it. It is really simple, but its done really nicely
Totally agree. I had a 2014 Accord Sport which I’ve loved for the whole 10 years. I recently considered various smaller SUVs and wound up getting the 2024 Accord Sport L after 1 test drive. Turns out I do not like driving SUVs and trucks. The Accord feels so familiar but updated. I love the Accord understated styling and hate the Camry pointy stuff and horrible front grill. Feels overstyled. Confirmation bias maybe? Sure but I think Honda got so much right with the 11th gen hybrids and I’m totally happy to drive this one for another decade.
Hi there, great review of this class-leading hybrid Accord🎉 Thanks for speaking of the EV-like manner of this great car. It is like having an EV experience, but still the convenience of range using ICE. I think Honda did a great job stepping up the interior making it kind of luxe. Great job ❤ Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the comment & feedback! Do you happen to own one? It really is a great car! I’ll be reviewing the CR-V Hybrid soon too, so feel free to come back for that! 👍🏾
Great review. I own this car in red. It’s fantastic but I definitely wish it had the Bose audio. I would have gladly paid more. Hopefully Honda released a sport touring version for the refresh.
The 11 generation Honda Accord is the best design to date, it's very stylish, elegant design. In my opinion the LX or EX Turbo straight gasoline powered engine is your best value. Although you're going to save more on gas when purchasing one of the Hybrid models, saving is exactly what you should be doing as repairs on the Hybrid will nearly bankrupt the average individual. Due to the high tech engineering, complexity of this Hybrid set-up you will have no chance of getting repairs preformed without returning to your local Honda dealership. If you're someone that trades cars every 3- 4 years then go for the Hybrid as the battery has an 8 year 100k miles warranty as mandated by the Federal Government. If you're like me when buying a car, you're not buying it with the intention of trading for the next new model . I keep a car until it's just absolutely not worth putting anymore money into it.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! The entry trims with the 1.5T are definitely good values. It’s way too early to talk about any repairs on this hybrid powertrain as it was just introduced and so far I personally haven’t heard of any major problems. Knowing that and how how well it drives, plus the fuel economy benefit, I’d be happy to recommend the hybrid trims!
In addition to the car itself, before you leave the dealer you need to purchase the spare tire kit which includes a donut spare, a jack and a tire iron. It is unbelievable but Honda does not supply a spare tire. The salesman will tell you you won't need a spare in a millions years since the car includes an air pump and a tire repair kit. Just visualize yourself at 1 AM in the rain trying to fox a flat tire on a car with no jack or tire iron. You call for help and all you get is a recording telling you to call back in normal business hours. You will note the reviewer completely ignores the lack of a spare.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yeah the spare tire debate is a tough one. OEMs are increasingly removing them, especially from sedans. The idea is that standard roadside assistance & the tire repair kits are supposed to be enough, but that’s not always the case for customers. Appreciate the feedback!
While Honda announcing the availability of a spare tire kit about two weeks ago is progress I think Honda should recall every car they ever made that did not have a spare and equip them with one. There is ZERO chance I would consider a car minus a spare for even an instant.
If you’re shopping new cars today, I think you’ll be very surprised as to how many do not come with a spare tire. Your choices will be limited, but as you mentioned, in some cases you can buy a separate kit if you absolutely need it.
If necessary Congress needs to enact a law making a spare tire mandatory. There are tons of rules car manufacturers have to follow so what is one more?
Excellent video brother. I love mines. I will say... these next features would have made it a Chefs Kiss (to me of course) Fog lights Turn signals on the mirrors Triple beam headlights instead just 2 There a long piece of piano black plastic that could have been ambient lighting Resolution for the rear view camera can be MUCH better. Overall, i love the car. Averaging 44MPG. Not too shabby 🎉
Great review! I’m seriously thinking about getting a touring this spring. I have already test driven the CRV but I want to test drive one of these before I decide. These are a few thousand bucks cheaper for one and these also have a much nicer infotainment system not to mention a fully digital display unlike the CRV which has an analog speedometer.
Thanks a lot for the comment and feedback! Yeah both cars are really good, it’ll just come down to how much usability you really need. We’ll have our CRV review up in the coming weeks!
Went with the 23 Accord Touring over the CRV Sport Touring. I liked the Accord better. Accord also feels and is quicker because of less weight and no AWD. You can notice the difference between the two.
Wow! Thanks a lot for the nice comment! If you haven’t seen it yet, we also have a review on the Accord Touring. Hope you subbed to come back for more! 👍🏾
Thanks for the comment! The road & wind noise on the highway is pretty good considering the class and price. Part of the reason it might seem loud is the hybrid powertrain can be silent allowing other noises to come through more easily.
Thanks for the comment, completely agree about the hybrid powertrain! RS3!? That’s an awesome car, may take some time to get ahold of one, but challenge accepted! 👍🏾
Have a 2022 civic sedan sport absolutely love it the design is perfect looks upscale but sporty at the same time the accord is really nice as well can’t go wrong with either !
@@Drive_Culture I have the metallic grey color and yes ever since Honda announced the hybrid it caught my attention I was waiting for Honda to release a competitor to the Corolla hybrid i knew they would at some point cause Europe has the civic hybrid…. also love the refresh of the 25 civic hybrid looks more like the type R
I'm gonna go with......Integra! Lol ;) Accord does look nice, and my first impression when I saw the back was "Audi", that's my favorite design element for sure! I'd be curious that EV-esque pickup too!
Hey, thanks for the feedback! The powertrain is very close to the CR-V, but the Accord’s is slightly different since it’s not setup to tow. Also, the Accord has more levels of regen using the paddles! I’ll definitely review the CR-V, so please subscribe and come back for that video. 👍🏾
Thanks for the comment. A lot of people had things to say about the styling of the 11th gen Accord, but it’s selling well and the hybrid powertrain is great! Not saying styling isn’t important, but it’s clearly subjective.
@@Drive_Culture I haven’t, bought an Accord early 2023 and imo it’s bad manners to show up to a dealer asking for test drives with no intention of buying. Will be another couple years before I’ll get the chance to look at one more closely.

This is my first accord. I got the sport L hybrid and I love it.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Congrats on the new ride, what color did you get?
Urban grey

One instance where good warranties are key to owning a hi tech hybrid.
Accord Hybrid EX-L
Thanks for the comment! Yeah that’s a great trim too, especially the price point. What color did you get?
Got mine love it. So quiet and smooth. Meteorite gray. Seemless power train.

I totally agree with your ideas!
Those would definitely make this trim even better!
BTW, what color is your ride?
@Drive_Culture the same one you showed. That's what made the video more cool 😎

Thanks for the comment & feedback! You’re pretty spot on, it’ll just come down to if the buyer needs the extra utility of the CR-V.
This was a really great review, thank you!

How’s the noise on highway? One of my friends tells me that it is really loud. Especially the sport L trim.

this hybrid is a game changer...Review the RS3, since you brought up Audi

I wonder why honda brought the physical shifter back to the accord?
Thanks for the comment. It’s actually back on both the Accord & CR-V!
Is is the same powertrain as the new CRV hybrid? Are you planning to review the CRV?

Can we get that old 2.0L turbo in an si or integra👀
Thanks for the comment, I really like the powertrain in both cars, it’s a great blend of daily performance & efficiency.
Accord Type R incoming🤔
Ha! Thanks for the comment! Do you think an Accord Type R would do well?
@@Drive_Culture Depends on how they did it. I’d imagine they would have to offer a manual and automatic to sell enough of them.
The look is sugar free vanilla... The styling says "this is a car". The styling is not styling. Honda has great interiors though

Prius 2024......
Thanks for the comment! There’s definitely a big difference in size between the two, what’s your favorite thing about the new Prius?
Ayyo even has a Honda fan Toyota did great work on the redesigned Prius. Has me considering switching.
Yeah the new Prius design has been really well received. Have you had a chance to drive it yet?
