But the thing is I don’t have have work experience as in I’ve never done volunteering or baby sitting like I don’t have nothing 😭

@Farhana Begum just write about what u did in your school such as participating as a school council or a tour guide and also the clubs u joined in I hope that helped.😅😅

Even though I'm 19, I've never had a job and I've just been stressing trying to write my CV and covering letters (I do have my a levels going on rn too so even more stress). I've been at it for hours and only just got my CV done thanks to you. Now need to work on my covering letter :')

What if you don’t have your grades? Could you just put your predicted grades?

Hi I have a question, I don’t have any experience in retail and for work experience I thought a year 2 class for like a week and other than that I don’t have anything else, no volunteering etc... what can I do?
How many pages is your cv? Mines 3 soon go into 4 😭 apparently you should keep it short but i have alot of experience and stuff.
Rochelle Courtney should be no more than 2 pages usually. If you have lots of experience then there should be no waffle! Send it over, I’m sure I can help you cut it down x
Just include what is key for the role. Only include experience that is relevant to the job.
I am 16 and i haven't done my GCSE yet does this mean i apply my predicted grades and what would i fill in for employment as when i was in year 10 we didn't get to have work experience and me myself don't have any experience at all

I've been struggling so much in the employment section, which led me to just putting it off but watching this really made me what to finally finish the last section of my cv, but a quick question, Is it really okay to take job description from google and change it a bit to put under your employment section? I'm worried they'd call me out on it or see it as being lazy :(
The job description is an outline of your roles and responsibilities, which is always outlined in a job advert. Of course, the purpose is to use this as a starting point and then add extra responsibilities you have picked up along the way. But it’s fine to use, as it is literally a description of what you did! yes, it makes the CV easy to read and navigate
I’m in year 10 with no experience what should I do?
What if I haven’t passed all of my GCSE’s how do you write it in cv
You would just write how many you did pass and the grade range e.g. if you got 8 out of 11 GCSEs then you would put 8x GCSE (A-C)
I’m only 16 and bc of covid I haven’t had chance to do work experiences so could I put things like that I’m a member of my town’s youth forum (leadership skills, public speaking), house captain at my sixth form (leadership role, looking after younger students) and that I help lead drama sessions at the local youth club? This is the only sort of experience I have unless I find somewhere to volunteer at once covid is over
Kelcey yes definitely!! Make sure your key skills section can demonstrate what you learnt in these roles

What if my work experience isn't necessarily related to the job I want to apply for? like I want to apply for a fast-food job but my only work experience was with a youth group where we worked with children between 5 and 13 years old? can I make it relevant in any way?
Then you would still include this experience, but you can add on some reasons behind working there and why you are more interested in your new chosen field of work...also highlight any transferable skills you have gained from these jobs

16 left school not got my gcse results going to collage in September being forced to get a job but don’t know what I do or say about my gcse results . And I have no work experience at all so Yh sticky situation

I'm 16, do I need to put my age on my CV? Because I've heard that 16-17 year olds are paid less wage than 18+, so would I need to include it in my CV? Thanks
You don’t need to put your age on your CV, you can add your date of birth if you wish. But they will know your age once you get the job ( from your ID provided) and pay accordingly ☺️

That is up to you, but ideally, how many you have passed.
