The results in both Georgia and Moldova strongly indicate that the writ of the West does not run as it once did and it no longer has the commanding power of past times. The ratio of western power to eastern/eurasian power has shifted massively in recent times and is accelerating. The old order where the West commanded (or else) and the rest of the world obeyed, are over. Whereas governments could be depended upon to condition their populations through compliant media regarding the positive aspects of siding always with western interests this is no longer the case in areas vital to the western powers. Their weapon of choice these days (rather than the CIA) the NGOs is now increasingly blunted through the adoption of foreign agent laws. This spells the further death knell of West domination and therefore too that of the use of aggression with impunity to get its way. Public opinion has turned against the western powers for many reasons, their bloody (and failed) regime change wars, the signs of degredation within their societies (plus increasing debt) along with situations in Israel and Ukraine. The West is being subjected to increasing exposure as it degrades and is defeated. This process expands as the desire for peace increases as well as the realisation that Russia and China are ascendant. A multipolar world where power is shared far more than before and where the West can no longer dominate and is indeed quarantined, is on its way.

But Moldova joined the E.U, so what do you mean?

@@mattboyer3385 they did not join the EU. And it doesn't look great for the current western puppet regime either. Only time will tell what the future will bring for moldova.

The future lies in the BRICS, not in the old colonial power’s who ruled more than 500 years and on the way OUT………and that’s GOOD so……Greetings from Norway

The West’s favored weapon of choice these days (rather than the CIA) the NGOs is now increasingly blunted through the adoption of foreign agent laws. This spells the further death knell of West domination and therefore too that of the use of aggression with impunity to get its way.

The West is being subjected to increasing exposure as it degrades and is increasingly defeated across multiple vital areas where beforehand it could expect an easy ride. This process is expanding as the desire for peace increases in the face of western-fomented war, as well as the realization that Russia and China are ascendant and can provide a safe haven and hope for the future. A multipolar world where power is shared more equally and where the West can no longer dominate, and is indeed effectively quarantined, is on its way.

It was a very thoughtful and balanced review of Georgia's 2024 election process. Many thanks to QI and all the discussion participants, for providing interesting insights into Georgian politics. It was quite different from what I had expected, considering the recent aggressive stance of EU and US officials toward Georgia and its ruling party.

The verdict of these experts is clear: Georgia Dream won fair and square because their message resonated with the electorate. End of story. Hopefully the French president will go back to Paris and enjoy the life in her dear western society and leave her former country alone.
