Agreed! I've taught Clairo & Stevey Lacy songs to so many of my younger students and can't wait to show them this channel! Most of them are also into production (not just playing guitar) and I think this is a really, really fantastic way to learn--especially given that it's coming from someone closer to their age--and would be grateful for more videos like this & the recent one on Clairo!
the end result was to be expected, and this was a solid video. it's like any other art form or instrument. lacy has such a fluid style that the simplicity works to his advantage. the rhythm of the strumming, percussion, bass, and singing all whole that is greater than the sum of all parts. this girl's imitation was clever and her analysis was on point; but her style is so obviously different that her song would never be confused for a real steve lacy track. the influence would be very obvious though. solid video. don't copy, just take influence and create your own MMA. mixed music arts, baybeeeeeeeeeee
This is amazing! You're such a talented creator, thank you so much for sharing the inner workings of your mind! More people need to watch your content, and I hope you continue to put out vids like this one
This is a really really nice and helpful step by step video. I wasn't wanting to copy his style but just gather techniques and ways to make music from it and you helped with that a lot! And you have a very beautiful voice, I'm jealous.
Carzy thing was that he produced the guitar rift on pride for kdot, and it honestly reminded me of him when i first heard it, then i conected the dots and was like, DAMN
This channel has crazy good editing and quality. 👍 It literally feels like a Vox earworm video. Hahaha Clicked without thinking because I love Steve lacy. About half way through I scrolled down and was stoked to see it was made by a smaller channel. Instant sub. Hope you blow up on here.
sounds like a steve lacy song ft clario damn
YOO ITS ALL I CAN HEAR NOW
Wtf I actually hear Clairo in her voice
“HEAVY reverb and echo” * puts up like 2% *
I’m sayinggg..lol if shorty would of added extra reverb and delay on her vocals it would of been 5x more fire 🔥
This is really good content your making you should do a series on this
Thanks! May do some other artists. Stay tuned 😊
Thanks
e c yes please do more!
Please

Me too! I just started a bit over a month ago on guitar because of him. How’s it been going for ya?
@@luckylongtower9416 is it too late to start at 18 yrs old?
@@inno6788 it's never too late. and 18 is incredibly young
Yandough Nutt It’s not about how long you’ve been playing, but how much you play.
That’s exactly how I discovered him too. He’s now my fav artist
