    Graffiti is a high energy artform that allows for lots of fun and crazy elements. even so, in graffiti you end up seeing plenty of the same stylistic choices being made among most graffiti artists. every now and again though, someone comes along who is really unique and they're able to do things that arent at all typical of most graffiti artists. in today's video we look at one such graffiti artist, a graffiti artist i just learned about who's doing some really awesome stuff. the way they use negative space management and letter name weight to their advantage is really cool and i enjoy it a ton. be sure to see more graffiti from them, i have their Instagram linked here in the description.

    The mystery for me is how the heck I can read those...
    Somehow the structures are just built so damn good that it's like magic to me.
    I don't even want to know how that is done

    Thanks for this, it’s a great lesson in using contrast with colour. I’m often not brave enough on the actual letters, just adding contrast in the background. This gives me something new to try 👍

    FIRE tips!!! I now do all my sketches in black and white and THEN use color to chop it up and build more into the contrasting elements. This was a perfect artist to demonstrate with.

    Review ASALT from Hawaii! He's up all over the states. All around LEGEND in my eyes. From throws to rolls. He got style. DEBO UK TE IC RG PYFB from Honolulu is one of the best, if not the best BOMBER on the island. Been up since the 80s & continues to get up.

    You say the same thing every video and have the most generic style ever

    • @Theartistblock
      @Theartistblock  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      i havent really talked about this topic before and sure i love my straight letters, only a toy would think thats a bad thing, but ya know what, go on, do a 5, 4, 3 and 2 point perspective piece with 3D extensions, subsurface scattering, and whole letters made of 3D, Ill wait. been waiting more than 10 years for people to start doing that and its still not commonplace, so no my style is far from generic, you just lack the knowledge to break it down.
