ヘイリーの、まさにエンジェルヴォイスと言われるピュアで優しい歌声が大好きで、普段から家で車中でとよく聴いていますが、もともと桜が大好きな親日家とはいえ、日本の楽曲も数多くカバーしてくれていて、しかも日本語歌詞の発音もとても綺麗で、まるで日本人が歌っているかのような錯覚に陥るほど耳にスイスイ入ってくるんです。更に彼女の邦楽カバー曲の素晴らしいところは、日本人の心をよく理解しているような選曲もひとつ、そして何より、日本語歌詞の意味もよく理解していて更にその言葉の奥にある心情までとてもよく表現してくれているところ。オリジナル曲もカバー曲も、彼女の歌は間違いなく聴く人を幸せにしてくれる。まさにプロトカルチャーの気分ですね。ヤック・デ・カルチャーです。

You are more than a singer pro, you got a deep feelings when you sing. You are the down to earth.
I was surprised of her pronunciation, there was just a mistake or two I noticed, almost unnoticeable, and it was to be expected.
Except that, pretty amazing, I was thinking, she mus had been practice allot for this moment, it just strengthened my respect for her, to see her be prepared like this and show respect to japanese people.
Hayley sings many Maori songs when she's comes back to NZ, some similarities in pronunciation so she may have been able to handle it a little easier.
Hayley is very very nice and interpreter's translation are very nice.

四ツ谷の電車を見下ろす道においで。桜もコロンコロンした球みたいな物も有ってひときわ綺麗だよ〜/Haily, come experience Tokyo 四ツ谷/YoTsuYa’s Sakura. Catholic University Sophia’s old students* planted them.There ARE various kinds of Sakura but the ones there are ball figure, like loveliest Kanazashi, you could never tire of watching them.
*The famous university that pope visited, is located next to Akasaka palace where Emperor and Empress currently live; they will be happy to welcome you. The real empirical palace(slightly closer to Tokyo station, which used to be Tokugawa Shogun’s chateau) is close too; there they could let you stay freely I’m sure, as the palace has huge hotel facilities.

She seems to have deserted her British fans in recent years---what happened to the touring ? I saw her 5 times in the past.

She travels backwards and forwards to the UK, so she is still singing, she has such a big following in Japan, singing to packed houses, we in NZ haven't had a concert from Hayley for a long time, here's hoping.
