Amazing that they've managed to squeeze so much performance out of a 125cc. With a decent launch that thing will hit 100km in under 21 seconds! The trouble is trying to keep the front wheel on the floor when the torque kicks in at 7500rpm

Well its an a1 bike so it is restricted to 15hp which isn't bad at all but isn't amazing if they were trying to make it as powerful as possible they could probably get it to 24 since the yamaha r6 has 116 hp at 599cc with 0.19 hp per cc if we multiply that with 125 we get around 24 hp.
@@A--lex The r6 is an inline 4, not comparable at all. If you look at the 690 and compare it the duke 125 even has more hp/cc. You just can't calculate like this

i wont call that an upgrade.. they do not have that nice LCD speedo and the looks has slight improvement but doesnt pack a punch

Because there is 2 versions in 125cc Asian version & Europe version in india most popular version is asian version, this is Europe version one, i think this one is expensive compared to asian one

Hello! I’ve been thinking about buying a ktm duke 125 but i have one concern. I am a pretty short dude (about 5.3 feat tall) and i have been thinking if i can ride this bike with ease or not.

How much is your weight
So now the 125 except the cc is a better bike than 250 look wise ? Head light, screen, etc except speed. Weird . .
Because it's to keep costs down in Asia that the Duke 200 and 250 doesn't have the screen, style and that. In Europe these machines costs a lot more than in Asia so for KTM it doesn't hurt adding some premium features because we pay like 4 times the amount anyway
In europe we have four classes of motorcycles:
AM120: 50CC, up to 45kmh
A1: 125cc, 15hp
A2: no cc limit, 44hp
A: any motorcycle with a plate
The A1 class among am120 is tge most popular motorcycles sold in the EU. Now you probably see why its loaded with top of the line features plus KTM is from europe and known as the iPhone of motorcycles.
In France :
Yamaha YZF125R = 5.299€
KTM Duke 125 = 4999€
The first one is made in France, the second one in India.
One would think KTM should sell his bike at a lower price tag because manufacturing costs are lower in India than France.
And it's happening because they sell the Indian version for around 1,42 Lakh which translates into around 1650€ !
And same thing with BMW... Globalization and capitalism at their best 😒

It's a great starter bike! My dad bought it for me so I can practice shifting on a lower cc bike. For people who already are experienced drivers, this bike is quite underpowered.
