Hey Bee, this is exactly what I have been planning to build myself. I absolutely love this game. I do have the throttle and flight stick. A few years ago, I built a really powerful flight simulator computer that I'm going to use for this. I am waiting to get back into the shop to build the cabinet. Anyway, great job, brother. I absolutely love it.
Hey Jester! Thanks for checking it out and look forward to hearing and seeing more of your build! This was a dream project and happy with the way it turned out. 😀
@KongsRUs Definitely a passion project 👏 looks amazing 👏 I got a GRS starwars controller a few months ago to build a replica of your old cab. It's going to be a fun project for me and my kiddos.
Vinyl and plastic coating for automotive interiors. You can use it on any plastic, it won't scratcher come off. Wears really well. If you decide to redo the seat, that's what you want.
Nice job Bee! Really came out spectacular. Amazing group effort from everyone that made the pieces, and kudos to you for figuring out how it all would mount and fit together. You're making me anxious to finish my SW Trilogy so I can showcase it. Too many projects on the table at the moment but I will get it done. Anyway, enjoy the new cab and have fun playing a closer replica to the arcade Battle Pod!
Impressive build! Reminds me of the passion I put into my Guitar Hero Arcade replica. Personally I would have taken it a step further and built the dome cabinet. That's what really makes this game what it is.
You got me with this one-That Battle Pod is tight!. I just bought the PC on your list and the Logitech X-56 HOTAS. I used your affiliate links so you could buy yourself a cup of coffee. All I have done so far is a Pandora DX on a Partycade This will be my first time setting up a PC build. I figured I would get it working on a TV at home before investing in the rest. When I choke and buy the cab over at Buy Stuff I'd love to get those 3D Files. I have a Bambu P1S printer here at home. Thanks for the video (and sending me down a rabbit hole which I'm sure will consume a ton of my time- 🙂). That build is fire!
I have Battle Pod up and running on the PC with the Hotas. Thanks for the full screen patch. Just got Captain for the first time on the Vader mission. I've built it on one side of our dining room table and my wife wants it out of her dining room :-) I am considering buying the racing cab from Buy Stuff. I was watching the video and noticed you don't have the shifter set up for the G29. There isn't room on the shelf with the Hotas. Think the shifter could be mounted next to the seat somehow? It would even be more authentic then. My understanding of the G29 clutch pedal is that it's useless without the shifter.
Congrats Bee, thanks for taking the time to go through your build. It’s awesome, definitely a build I could see many wanting to do. Will your friend share/sell the digital files? I wonder how a curved screen would feel with this game?
Thanks Wez! I've asked George if he plans to sell or share his stl files and he hasn't decided yet. I plan to have him on a future live stream to chat about it, so hope to have an answer in a few weeks!
wow that was very cool and big project i really love those 3d printed parts. i hope you can make another video but star wars arcade cockpit. if there is 3d printed parts it would be cool
I think you should change ur thumbnail to “ I painted the seat!!” Just kidding 😄 George kicked ass with the 3D printed stuff. Amazing how much Star Wars moldings around a screen can transform the whole look. The seat u chose adds a lot too. Nice job 👍 I actually was in the Buy Stuff store way back asking Mike about doing a custom Star Wars shape for me and they told me that you had contacted them. Nice to see the finished product.
@@KongsRUs yeah I actually sold it because I purchased a full high end sim rig and I wasn’t using the buy stuff one anymore. Once u use triple monitors and high powered direct drive steering wheels u want no part of G29’s anymore lol - i have 3 old steering wheels gathering dust…I really need to get around to selling them. Anyway, ur Star Wars looks fantastic- love it in the background during ur streams. Hope ur well. ( also try Automobilista 2 with VR - it will blow u away) cheers
@charleychuck lol, wow! You upgraded like crazy. Love full out racing rigs, they just take up so much space tho. That's awesome though you have a 3 screen setup!
Awesome video, thanks for sharing the build process with us. I want that build/playlist! - I used an order form I found on an older video from KAG? I ordered the StarCade 2.0 playlist, did you receive that order last week? If not, please let me know how I can get the Build/Playlist, I am mainly interested in the flight stick games
@@KongsRUs Thank you sooo much! I love the work you have done on these cabs. That Battle Pod One I think is your best, although I may be biased. Does the HOTAS get in the way when racing? does the wheel get in the way when flying? Asking because I am considering combining my cabs like you have done here
The wheel and HOTAS are spaced out enough for me during gameplah to not impact the other. The hardest part is actually sitting in the chair and scooting it into position
I love how the set up looks in the background while your streaming with the battlepods attract. I thought the marquee / back piece was purchased somewhere But to see how much effort was put into making that happen is amazing . Love how you even put the accents on the g29 to match . Does the Hotus light up blue like that or am I seeing a reflection. ? I have the cheaper version . It’s good for the price but you can tell it’s not as high end and buttons get stuck a bit
Do you have any info on how to get Battle pod to go Fullscreen on an ultrawide monitor? You inspired me to build a battle pod in my home, I and I have searched till exhaustion. Please help if you can.
Hmmm, not sure the resolution on your monitor, but this game tries to run on 1920 x 1080 resolution. You could try forcing your ultrawide monitor to that resolution and it should go full screen. Also, remember to hide your task bar as well
@@KongsRUs Thanks. 3840x1600 tried that and I get black bars. I saw someone on youtube called "Ultrawide GameR" do it but when I asked him how he just likes the post. Ive also seen some resolution patches in 16:9 and 16:10 4k and in various other resolutions but cant find those specific ones anywhere to try them. Its crazy.
@@KongsRUs EmuGamesMaster Helped me out with a file that makes it full screen on ultra wide screen monitors Thanks again for your help and quick response.
I'm just using teknoparrot and launching Star Wars Battle Pod. I haven't made a custom playlist for this cab yet, but will most likely base it off my current StarCade Playlist 2.0 that I created for use with a modded yoke or GRS Yoke. I'd you're interested in that playlist, email me at Kongsrus.Arcade@gmail.com or join my Facebook group to learn more!
George Lucas needs to see your devotion and everyone who had a helping hand in making this Battle Pod. I'd love to hear Mrs. Kongs-R-US thoughts are on this INSANE build!!
I can confirm my Outrun mod.... with Battlepod teknoparrot installed... runs very nice at 30fps 1080p (max) on a cheap GT 1030 card with a basic off-lease Dell Optiplex. This would be the bare minimum starting point. It does not hiccup at all. Don't go any lower power video card. A 1660 is MASSIVELY faster card, so you are way good to go.
Awesome job! Not like that umm I guess modder from NY I was accused of trolling during a live stream for his hack, I mean for his custom (for profit) recessed T2 screen mod while the hack I mean modder was fing with a viewer :P
