We purchased a Warrior 2 weeks ago. The dealer told us the 4K increase isn't worth it and the current aftermarket entertainment unit is better than what Nissan are offering. We rathered the rear air and 360 deg camera and the car is getting the previous entertainment unit fitted before we get the car.
I just got my 2024 Y62 TI yesterday, and I'm really happy with the new infotainment system. However, it's disappointing that they removed the 360 camera. Overall, though, I'm quite pleased with the vehicle!
Glad you are enjoying the car mate. Don't stress about the 360 cameras. A company is making a kit for the new 2024 Patrols to have the 360 cameras back in the car and apparently Nissan is doing the same.
Entertainment system is supplied by directed Technologies. I phoned them they said go back to the dealer. Went to the Dealer they phoned them would not talk to the dealer had to be in writing. So still waiting for 360 camera. Directed Technologies have no idea of customer service. Looks like we will need to go aftermarket with a seperate screen I was told the video feed for the screen is unique to them so you can't simply use an after market camera. Very sad an Australian Company won't talk to customers.
Depends what you want to do with the car really. If you're towing a standard Patrol is the better option as you can't get a GVM upgrade with the Warrior. But if you're just using it as a bit of an all rounder and not towing anything too heavy, the Warrior is a good option. Ready to get into it from the factory.
I'm looking at patrols but worried about fuel range. For a mixed use on the road but I do a lot of highway driving, what fuel range can I get out of the Patrol Y62?
Hey mate. A question with lots of variables. Completely stock and driving it responsibly, you'll easily see the quoted fuel economy. When my car was stockish, I drove from QLD to Vic, over 2000kms. I stopped for fuel 3 times and that wasn't to fill the tank from empty, just to get it back to full. I was seeing 1200kms range and eventually got the economy down to the 10lph area. They are big, not particularity aerodynamic and heavy, with a 5.6l V8. They love long drives. With all my mods, I see 17.7lph around town, which is nearly 700kms to a tank. So, you'll see decent figures.
Problem is if you want decent seats in a 300 series you have to pay 130k. I haven’t been able to find any info on retrofitting new seats into the base model so assuming it can’t be done.
That isn't right, Infinity speakers is Harman's low end cheap stuff that don't normally run off an amp etc Bose are a bit higher than Infinity. Harman Kardon systems a lot better, but they do have need to make use of an amp. It's the same issue with Bose speakers is they need decent amp + audio processor in the head unit to get the most out of them. It's why when you put a good head unit in a 23 til the Bose systems comes a live, it's night and day difference.

Beauty. All depends on your personal taste at the end of the day. That 360 is very handy.
There's a great video on "The Fitting Bay" where they show you how to DIY one of those newer entertainment units being installed in a Y62.
Awesome, thanks for letting me know!
2k fitted 13.3 screen straight from china .Works great
Which one did you get mate and where from?
Yes pls, keen on bonnet mount antenna bracket. I'm local

Hmmm bit poor there mate. Expected better than that.
What’s your opinion on the 2024 patrol warrior compared to a regular patrol?

@@WLD62 thanks for that. Will stick with the warrior then
Didnt the TIL also lose rear screens?
Yes, they are gone.

I’m sure
I just picked up my 2024 Ti and I think the sound system is terrible. Poor sound quality and doesn’t go very loud!
That's a bit unfortunate, they are supposed to be better quality than the Bose. Have you mucked around with the speaker settings at all?
Ah Yeah of course, and cheaper to run than a Cruiser too !! They fill the cruisers with cheap gimmicks to make people feel like they are worth 130k 🤣🤣

High end hifi
Thanks for that info mate, figured they had to be.
