As a side note, I e heard people that use tropical milkweed should cut the seed pods off before they bloom to prevent the spread to areas where people would not know to cut the plant to the ground in November.
You are correct, the tropical milkweed, Asclepias curassavica, is known to be a host to OE disease. Either stick to native milkweeds or cut the tropical milkweed back to the ground in the fall around Thanksgiving to prevent pathogen build up on the leaves and stems.

I thought Passiflora suberosa was called "corkystem" because its thick stem is the color and texture of cork.
Doesn't some tropical milkweed have parasites in them that are harmful or kill the butterflies ?

Why not to provide habitat for bees as butterfly can also increase the pest as in the form of caterpillars
