Giants are really good at drafting and developing IDL- the only position they never seem to have a problem with. I don't think they need to have two top paid DTs. EDGE or IOL or CB would be much better places for them to spend that money imo
Wilson to the Raiders... there's offset language in his contract with the Broncos - he's going to get paid $39m next season regardless of how much his new deal is for, so there's absolutely no reason for his new team to pay him more than the vet minimum.
I like Wilkins to us; would be tough w his boy dexter, idk if that'll be the focus for the little bit of cap we got. I think they resign barkley and McKinney w the cap money we got and draft a sasquatch of a nose in T sweat from texas to replace Leonard williams as the other piece of an interior tandem. Hollywood brown to Texans would be scary.
Lions are hosting the draft this year so I don’t think they’ll trade away their 1st round pick. On paper this is great for the team and I would love it. Good take, for marketing reasons probably not
Caught me off guard with the giants selection. I wouldnt be mad at all. But man would it be hard to imagine them paying more for wilkins than they did for dexter lawrence last year. Thinking much more likely we go after one of the top guards. Talk about an identity. Lets identify as a team with a good o line 😅
I was wondering if you have an idea for a good free agent destination for me? I played football in 4th and 5th grade and was a D end, safety, wingback, and tight end. I ran I believe around a 5.2 in high school and have a 275 bench press. I am not really that good.
My dream signing for ATL is Mayfield. Little cheaper and lower floor than Cousins but he's younger and should leave enough to sign a WR2/EDGE2. Steal him from TB, who really can't afford to go as high as Cousins will want after re-siging Evans and Winfield. Kind of a 3d chess move imo.
Not getting the logic with Wilkins to the Giants. They are already paying Dex top money. I don't see them allocating that much to the DT position ... Not to mention the obvious needs on the OL. The OG/T from the Pats should be their first priority imo.
yeah I can see that, after Chubb went out, we couldn't get the running game except for Ford having a few splash plays and Hunt was only able to do well on short yardage plays
I think the Justin Simmons signing for GB would be more ideal. If they are to be taken seriously they don’t want 2 rookie safeties and the unreliable corners not named Jaire. It doesn’t make much sense to have 2 number 1 backs already at 30. Who’s taking the snap majority?
@@fullyinflatedfootballpodca2373i was joking abt the saints using way too much cap space to build super mid football teams, and how the solution for their problems is "stop spending money." although that applies more so to re-signing/restructuring people than FA
I need the Lions to go get Sneed in FA because I don’t trust Brad Holmes to not go full Brad Holmes and trade up to get a WR or something in the draft and not address the defense until the 3rd/4th round
Why would anyone sign a running back in free agency, even if the position was getting more valuable, you can draft a number 1 guy in any round and have him under contract
You can draft running backs late, but they're not guaranteed to be good - see the Chargers, who had a huge dropoff in 2022 with Ekeler out of the lineup and rookie Isaiah Spiller in. Maybe you don't wanna shell out top dollar, but the thing with good running backs... is that they're good players. Josh Jacobs did not have great blocking when he led the league in rushing. There's no one in today's league like Derrick Henry.
@@fullyinflatedfootballpodca2373yeah, I get that. But if the regime showed one thing, then it’s that they are not willing to overpay for top of the market outside talent. And they would pay considerably more for a lesser player compared to Dexy.

Justin Simmons and Jessie Bates would be such a nasty safety tandem I want to see it happen just to be able to watch it lmao
No one I'd trust more to talk about free agents than you
its so cool seeing a pop music youtuber also follow marcus
So funny to see you here lmao
Lions fan here Marcus. We don’t think you hate us lol. You give us a lot of credit and love

It would still be sick to see dex Wilkins and thibs
Love the pod! Thanks again!
That Snead prediction is looking possible.

23 a year when jaylon got 19 doesn't seem reasonable
TFG dam near perfectly mocked fields to the steelers

You should do a subscriber mock draft with everyone picking for a team

Considering we paid about that for Leonard Williams, I'll love that signing for the Giants.

Loved the giants one

Bears for sure. 2 way versatility at both positions of need (TE2/HBack and DE) with those freaky athletic traits?
ideal signing for my browns is Christian Wilkins, I think he would be the final piece for our defense as a DT who is good at inside pass rush
he'd be perfect next to Dalvin Tomlinson as he's more of a run stuffer
Exited for the live today
Curious why the Vikings would sign Devin White when they have Ivan Pace to fill a very similar role
Just realized I wasn’t subscribed. We changed that today.

Really like Devin White to Minnesota
If the giants got Christian Wilkins and finally had a real identity, esp the elite D Line we're historically known for... Man...

Agreed!
I'm excited to hear the Saints ideal FA signing "Nothing"
?
@@fullyinflatedfootballpodca2373i was joking abt the saints using way too much cap space to build super mid football teams, and how the solution for their problems is "stop spending money." although that applies more so to re-signing/restructuring people than FA
Gotcha gotcha. Thought you might have missed my pick for them!
Yeah, they are so weird.... wish they'd just let this thing flame out.

And how about that chris jones signing!
4 year 104 for sneed but johnson get 4 years 76?? I think sneed is going to get significantly less then that prjected coontract

Chubb? he's the best pure runner in the NFL
Yay, this will make the pile of infant clothes in front of me easier to fold en masse.
Patriots can’t do that Marcus because they’ve spent so little in recent years they actually have to spend most of it to comply to league rules
Russell Wilson to the Raiders would be perfect if he wants payback on the Broncos especially since they haven’t beat us since 2019😂
Paying Wilkins over 12 million more than Dexy makes little sense. Especially with huge needs at Guard, CB and Edge. (And RB, and Safety most likely)
Dexy hadn't broken out yet, and didn't hit the open market.
@@fullyinflatedfootballpodca2373yeah, I get that. But if the regime showed one thing, then it’s that they are not willing to overpay for top of the market outside talent. And they would pay considerably more for a lesser player compared to Dexy.
53:13 😂😂
Perfect timing!
No need for White when you have Pace.
