That Yugoslavian mess kit is FANTASTIC. You get cutlery, pot, water bottle and two cups, the big one for soup or desert and the small one for your drink. It has all you need in one compact kit, I Love mine, take it easy from Aus
I agree, the mess kits from Europe seem based on a similar design and very functional, unlike the ones the U.S. Military use. Those are flat. Though I enjoyed the ones the Boy Scouts use.
Nice collection of mess kits and canteens. I like to collect too. You need a Czech mess kit to round out your collection. They are a very nice piece of kit.
Great collection my friend. Had to give this one a thumbs up. I have a small collection myself. You have several that are on my wish list. I have a couple you would probably like as well. Thanks for sharing. Atb. Robert
Is awesome bush craft videos and the video he's make are brilliant way to learn things and I am glad to support this amazing man and his amazing bushcraft 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆⭐️️⭐️️⭐️️⭐️️
Nice collection brother. I have the same Serbian set but love the mods you did. My fav is probably the Swiss or Swedish Volcano, never seen that before. Looked great. Cheers Moose
You had me at Army Surplus... Nice collection. I have plans on adding a Crusader set to my collection. Its rather difficult to find at a reasonable price here in the states. I have several of our USGI issue mess kits, I have never warmed up to them. They are good but not for anything like soups. Thanks for the show and tell.
Hi guys thanks for watching the video do you have any mess kits and canteen sets from round the world post a video in the comment box below and share guys thanks atb stuart
Good video Stuart. Saw a lot of my favourites in there. I also like the Seagull MSR pots, they are great, but probably slightly more pricey than the military stuff. ATB, Andrew.
A fair selection of mess kits Stuart. a, lucky ,ive got a big walk in cupboard that i have shelved to keep all my gear in , where does the missus ( rachel is it ) let you keep yours.
i have 2 big walk in cupbords as well mate sarah has one with loads of clothes packed to the roof the cupboards are about 3 feet by 10 great for camping gear
Nice collection Stuart. Glad to see you use the mess kits and canteen cups too. I am looking for a BCB Crusader Mess Tin. They quit making them about 3 or 4 years ago. Any idea where I can get one of those stainless steel mess tins. It's not the new set like you have with the cooker and cup and canteen etc. but it's the older stuff. I can't find them anywhere. Any ideas where I may be able to get one. I saw you lift up something that looked similar to it but I'm not sure if was a BCB Crusader Mess Tin or not. Please let me know if you want to sell one or if you know where I can obtain one. Thanks Man! Hike on Brother! Hope to hear from you soon...Bart
Hi Stu doing some research for my French army canteen. You dont happen to know if it fits on top of the BCB crusader MKII stove?? Just in case you had one...
Crikey bro you have enough for a whole scout troop there, lol. Well at least you are well prepared if you have to bugout in a hurry with family. All the best
Awesome vid Stuart : ) Enjoyed that a lot. I'm like you, got a bit of an addiction to military mess kits lol, You've got a few that i havent got though and vice versa. Would you be cool if i did a similar vid one time? Don't want you to think i nicked your idea lol, but just got that many kits at home, really wanna do a comparison vid of them all. All the best buddy, Jay
make a video of u cooking with all of them on one video and show what works and what ones do not do so well and then we all can decide what is best to bye thanks pal
Thank you so much Brother!! lol.. those suckers are rare and I can't believe it, but I was able to track one down for sale on an auction site. I like it because it appears to be more of an adult size Boy Scout style mess kit. I sure appreciate your video as I have always liked the traditional Boy Scout style mess kit with bowl, cooking pot, frying pan and measuring cup / coffee cup. Pretty much all you could ask for out in the woods camping. Take care my friend and again I appreciate your work. :)
have you tried the czech mess kits i use them a lot and find them excellent i got mine from a shop called goarmy in glasgow for 6.50 i think they are great bits of kit
That's quite a collection of cook pots, mugs and mess tins you've accumulated there Stuart, personally I would not use Ali for cooking or drinking, it's proven Ali will cause altzimers mate, stainless every time because titanium is far too overpriced for what you get and I'd rather carry a little extra weight for the strength of stainless, find a set you really like and use and stick to it, everything else is excess to requirements mate, nice one bud, atb, Paul.
Read the Alzheimer’s Association website. There is no evidence that alu pots are risky; that was a panic from the sixties. Use your Swedish mess kits. Crossing the road is more dangerous
Yugoslavian mess kit I bought was rubbish the plastic tubs were cracked and leaked and the canvas pack was torn. About the only bits that were any use were the cutlery set and the water bottle. The rest got binned.
mine are in good working order mate but i would say there are not one of my fav cooksets think i have used it about 2 time mate thanks for watching atb stuart
lol thats just my army surplus and bushcraft gear i have loads more camping pots and pans and the titanium gear my 900ml and cups and plates your right you can never have to many bud how your alpkit cook set going i am thinking about getting one my self but my 900ml pot and plate is work the now atb stuart

I agree, the mess kits from Europe seem based on a similar design and very functional, unlike the ones the U.S. Military use. Those are flat. Though I enjoyed the ones the Boy Scouts use.
