I haven't heard of _caramellized_ jatoba, but my Ibanez Talman shortie's fretboard is jatoba as well. I think they started using jatoba more because it's more and more hard to get rosewood. It's a nice hardwood and if you oil it, it can get a reddish hue, beautiful.
Another cracker jack review Bob! A handsome bass for sure and "neck through" for $900 - interesting. Jackson also released a budget priced spectra called the js3 with humbuckers and passive mode selection (similar to an Ibanez sr300). It'd be great if you could review one of those.
Carmelized Jatoba -- I think he was a bounty hunter hired by Jabba The Hutt to find Han Solo...Nice demo: Ive been curious about those -- Never realized they were neck-thru: and, yes, it reminds me of Premium Series Ibanez Soundgears as well thanks to your demo...at that pricepoint, I believe its more affordable than the Ibanez Premium SGs.........veddy interesting
Hi,BOB. I've got the X series spectra SBXP iv,and i agree they look very similar to a Ibanez,.i wouldn't be surprised if they came out of the same factory in Indonesia .plays great good tonal range ,comfortable to play for extended periods..easy on the eye.= good value.,so far so good ,,,,Cheers mate, thanks for your videos
@@BobBlackBass Rodger Sadowsky called it a signature feature of his preamp it goes against muscle memory and makes things awkward imo however there is a way to make the blend knob on the Sadowsky VTC preamp turn in the correct direction
It’s always a good day when I get a notification for one of your vids. Cheers Bob!
Thanks, Sean!

Hey Gregory, thank you so much! Right now my main bass is an Ernie ball Stingray. A Mesa D800 amp and Mesa 115 and 112 cabs.

Great review. What app are u using for the beats??
Hey Fred, on this video it was the built in drum machine on the casio keyboard
Jackson isn't the only one's with backwards pickup selectors Sadowsky definitely and Cort I believe do the same thing
You're right, Marc
