I finished watching the Soriz guide only to see this right next to it. The fact you decided to cover two of my favorites is extremely convenient. As someone that has wanted Nier in Granblue for a while this will help me greatly. I've always been pretty ass at fighters over the years but I've gotten somewhat competent at this one and am hoping to at least hit S rank or something one day (and make as many Metera and Cag players suffer as possible while doing so). When Granblue released my friend picked up Nier and I kept getting so frustrated that he changed characters. Now I've picked her up using the most basic ass game plan from your guide and now my friend is upset I didn't earn this "knowledge" myself lmao. I'm doing my part online.
I think quick jab, quick fireball, anti-air and grab are good options against Nier. Which coincidentally none of the players in the video did, as I presume they have too little experience against Nier. You can kill Death with any insignificant amount of damage (such as the ones from Bravery Counter), and you shut down all of Nier's gameplay for 5 seconds as she lost the range (and some damage) on M/H/Sweep and also have no combo capability other than raging strike. Her reversal (including the metered version) is Armor, thus she can be grabbed during the startup since it is not that fast, or be grabbed on block. But I do think her damage is too high with her optimal combos. I think a good nerf that doesn't destroy a lower-skilled Nier player's experience is to reduce the maximum amount of damage she can do in a combo, or limit the heart counter more so you risk depleting the heart counter with long combo.
I have to prove Im allowed to use her cuz Im currently sitting in Arcanum Sandbox farming away for her uncap. But yes 1 maybe 2 setups is all u need on Nier and I love it.

I'm getting flashbacks to DNF Duel where we waited months for a balance patch and they finally dropped one that essentially did nothing for the game... A character that feels most like "Advanced Gran™️" could be a good guide. Like, you finally buy the game, you only ever played Gran, but you want to actually get better at execution and a more complicated game plan. No idea which Character that is I'm just playing Gran still lol
i picked this character just cause I heard shes busted and I got to s++ in under 40 hours (never played vanilla granblue) and I am NOT that good at fighting games and my neutral really isnt that great, and I did it by learning like two combos and two setups for different situations, some basic frame traps and tick throws, and 66l. I dont even feel the need to learn more with this character. shes broken, how do some people think some other characters are better than this character, def the scrubbiest character of all time and I am super carried.
at 12:40 sometimes when im doing the ender with 4M+S 5M+S they are too high do i have to delay my 5H after 5H+S? also thanks for this guide + your modern cammy guide was what got me a bit more comfortable with fighting games (still a scrub)
I just picked up the free version first fighting game for me and i love nier. Even tho i didn't understand 90% of what you were talking about, pressuring with dash light helped me already 😂. He was so busted at release with his unique cane move launcher which guaranteed a tod, his parry had 1 frame activation, a lot of damage for no effort and among the simpler characters to play. He was also called "P2W dlc" after an EVO was made only of him because you needed Leroy for beating Leroy.
Question so when I do the nier combo ender setup sometimes I read the opponents brave counter by running up and dodging but what do I punish with? A basic 3 hit combo because death is disabled when they got hit with the brave counter
I've been playing Nier and enjoying being inefficient as fuck styling on people. 2024 is now the time for ruthless efficiency. I'll go back to styling once she gets nerfed.
