Hi Fed A big thank you for video 43 years of CB Radio. I think the firewords sounding great with every one on CB channel 27. I was in the chair in North East Essex I did well 5 CB Radio contacts all new breakers on CB Radio channel 27 I was amazed ho was listening, FRED Plz Keep UP The Good Work 73s to all CB Radio Breakers From 26CT30 Hotwheels from Frinton on sea. Thxs
Wow that was one great night, had about 5 copy's and then ended up on channel 30 to have a chat with a friend in MK. And people just keep coming on the side, so what a great night it was. Thanks for putting it on your video FRED, take care of yourself and yours, Alan 💯👍
When Dave ( think it was... ) was harping on about the chocolate sausage was when I started to broadcast in Cheltenham and listened in for several hours on Kiwi. Whilst here was deader than John Cleese' parrot, it was great hearing London being so vibrant. Great to hear it all. Happy birthday CB indeed!
Nice job Fred ! I have the same QT 60. Great radio . I haven't re programed any bands to UK 40 CB yet. I know what they are so I keep in frequency mode and just dial it in. CH 1 starts 27.60125 and up from 10 KHZ from their. We get some of that same mess on CB in the US as well. Lately in NY it is all spanish mostly with noise toys and echo mics. Have to free band lately. The EU band is just crazy ! Their is a new QT 60 PRO out that is shorter. I talked to one before. You can change that display a little with programming. Like that QT 60 to FRED . I tied my call but need 1 digit more. So I just put Bob. DX really going on CB world wide at times . I got New Zealand from NY . Cheers !
Hi Fred it’s just a shame that the keyers had to ruin the video but Dave and Jake were brilliant as for me well I’m mobile running a midland mini and orbiter antenna keep up the great videos regards Paul west wales.
In Australia we use 476.4 to 477.4 MHZ . We can also use repeaters. We had idiots in the old 27 MHZ days, we called it carrier dropping. Probably still do but I've not been near a radio in years
Happy birthday guys. Can't believe that keyers are still doing the childish things . I will be back on the air again soon. I am in the Manchester area. Take care all 73s. Callsign Kelly's Eye.
I did partake in keying myself back in 1980 at age 8. I thought with CB not being as popular nowadays with the youths that it wouldn't be "A Thing" anymore & people could enjoy their pastime without Children getting involved. If everyone would/could drop out, they would be bored stupid. If you are one of those keyers, stop and listen, you will more than likely learn something that will enhance your own enjoyment of this Pastime. Just a thought....
There is always someone who tries to ruin it for everyone. I am sure they're just sat giggling to themselves feeling "The Power" it gives them. So Childish and immature, it's so sad.
Nice to see your efforts in promoting cb has been paying off and nice to see so many back using it again....dead as a dodo where i live ... pity about the Muppets keying mics ect ...sady idiots can be found in every hobby...i dont know how you can listen to all that hash between calls...dont you use the squelch ? And nice to hear dave isn't using that horrible echo 😂😂...keep up the good work 👍
its not funny to keying out anybody out or play music it's not great back in the day its petty they are doing it know it only puts people off getting back on the air glad you had a good night, Fred cheers guys
Thunderpole products are good. But I get you I like my president jackson 1. Shame in modern cars nowhere to mount a cb, so I tend to use my Thunderpole tx for a handheld it punches I use mine indoors 😂
I have fond memories of my first rig in 1980 . It was a 40ch AM Jaws mk 2 with a DV27 on a biscuit tin in my bedroom ..happy days indeed
I had a president ar7 with the same set up great days.😊
@@Vic-j9p Especially before CB was made legal making everyone an airwave pirate on the naughty 40 !

Frid in the shed your TH-cam videos are awesome my friend
We used to conect a 9 volt battery to their coax wire when music types try to ruin our net. Back in the day.
I'd really love to hace a look around Fred's "Little Shed' 🤪
Great to hear the airwaves coming to life again, i think the cb users are growing in number

Sorry norm on 555 or 27.385
How would it be for a keyer be fox hunted or how it would be called, I have no clue. 🤔
With a few mobile breakers it would be quite easy to track him down.
Fred you are a ham ...stop pretending you are a CB breaker
Freebander.
One good thing about modern CB...is that all that crappy awful lingo has been dumped it seems.
That is part of it I love hearing the lingo
You still hear some "roger" "on the side" etc. Most of us are freebanders and DX'rs now and a lot are hams.
@CB-RADIO-UK Yeah I remember a mate of mine had a CB around 1982 and listening in everyone was trying to be 'The Bandit'. It was a bit cringe.
I stay well clear of Chinese radios. Stick to old school 80’s radios.
