I got my Synyster Gates Custom for my 18th. My whole family chipped in for it. They are extremely versatile, you can play anything on them as long as it’s in drop D 😂

It's a cool looking guitar , but i was disappointed. I guess it's a personal preference , but it's got a weird rounded neck that i just couldn't get the feel i like in a neck. Plus the sustaniac isn't really worth it if you're a home player....

But I have the black and gold custom with the sustainiac and a 2010 white and gold with the seymour duncan invaders and they are both just simply amazing. The sustainiac helps with long drawn out divebombs as well as a long sustain when playing clean. I actually have trouble doing pinch harmonics and traditional dive bombs, so I rely on the sustainiac to help me out. At first, it did feel like cheating, but then I realized it's just another tool like a distortion pedal or a chorus pedal.

I had the custom S , it's a $1.400.00 guitar , it wasn't my style so i sold it. Definitely a cool looking guitar , but the FR 1000 trem sucks. Especially when you change strings , it's almost impossible to get it back in tune!
Girl I Know, Chapter Four, Unholy Confessions, Almost Easy, Shepherd of Fire, Second Heartbeat, Nightmare, and Beast and The Harlot!! I still feel like I’m missing one but I’m a huge A7X fan as well. I have the same model but mine is the white guitar with black pinstripes
I decided one random day to put mine in drop C for shit's and giggles, OMFG!!! The tuning matched the looks it was wild. If you're feeling frisky I would highly advise trying it.
I have a late 2020 Synyster Gates Custom S Black and Gold, sustainiac pickup in the neck, and a syn custom pickup at the bridge, as well as a 2010 white and gold custom with the invaders. They are both amazing in theor own way. I almost change out the neck pickup for a sustainiac on the white and gold one but decided not too after I fell inlowv with it!
Also might get this for the pickups. I’ve always wanted the chrome invaders for one of my other guitars but ya just can’t get em anymore, plus I think brushed chrome covers would look amazing with this guitar
I for sure wanted one of these when I was 14 - 16. The only thing putting me off was the bit SYN inlays. Kind of glad I stuck to it because I bloody HATE working with Floyd Roses lmao.
I've been wanting a fender electric because i have squire telecaster and I wanted to upgrade. That being said the thin neck on this might make my day. I'll save up for one of these

Dude i'm assuming your a young guy , do yourself a favor if you haven't already. Go back to the 80's and listen to the first 2 Metal Church albums and Savatage "Power of the night" and "Hall of the mountain king". You will not be disappointed , trust me! I was very lucky to see Metallica on the Kill em all tour , in a small club literally about 10 feet from the band , after that tour they blew up. That was back in 1983 , sick show with W.A.S.P. & Armored Saint opening....🤘✌

The sustain is amazing in one had one a few years ago. Add a sustainiac switch and some Seymour Duncan invader pick ups and it's basically the same guitar that synyster uses. Along side of being a bolt on neck which is fine with me. I don't care if uts bolt on or neck through really has no effect on me.

I ended up selling it and buying the Omen Extreme , and couldn't be happier. I love Schecter's but the Gates didn't do it for me....
Hey guys, I tried tuning my MM JP-6 down to C# tuning. I am using D'addario 10-52 strings. I raised the bridge a bit and adjusted the strings but the High E when in tune at C# is just way too floppy. How in the hell did Tony Iomni keep his proper using 8's on his High E?

It depends on setup, I have guitars in drop B and A and some in D and E Standard. Its all in the setup.

I just recently picked up the gold burst custom and it has to be my favorite finish.

Honestly he was off by so much that I barely recognized it. Love the dude but that solo has a entirely different feel to it.
When younger, I wanted this so badly! But as I grew as a musician and started recording, I bought a PRS 24 and a Les Paul.

That pickups are G&B. I have my own set, compare to Duncan Designed HB-108 Detonator, these pickups have more clarity, at least in my ear
