  • Shaking and trembling is often not due to a health problem! Learn how to evaluate your dog and determine if she needs a vet visit.
Shaking and trembling in dogs have many causes… most of which have nothing to do with health! Some potential causes of shaking and trembling include cold, anxiety, pain, neurological disorders, some immune disorders and electrolyte imbalances.
Dr. Nancy Reese goes over how to figure out what is causing your dog to shake and quiver, and when to seek veterinary attention.

My baby girl, Maddey (white terrier mix) was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, and had surgery to remove all nipples on 1 side...sadly it spread.. she's been having episodes where she shakes and pants so hard, so I told the Vet and he prescribed Vetprofen..
It helped for a year, until now, is back with a vengeance.
I called him Friday and they prescribed Gabapentin and I hate the way its made her on TOP of the shaking and panting.
She cannot walk, she falls by walking on her own feet.. she seems out of it...
She just woke up and the shaking is the worst I've seen... it's a Sunday and I can't afford a $500 plus emergency vet bill..
I just can't handle it.. I've not slept since it started last week... I'm looking for any help for her!

So sad to hear about your baby girl. But I'm glad the pain medications helped for that full year so she could enjoy herself.
