The screams!! My hair is in love with how evil and intimidating Roy is, perfect stage presence. Also, absolutely adore this song, since it's so exceptional for Kamelot. With less clean vocals we were used to, with those screams and speech-like verses... ahh :') JUST ONE MORE.. JUST ONE MORE DAY!!!!
Really depressing that Khan is gone. I haven't seen them live yet, and I am super sad that when they come to my town, he won't be there. I'm totally still going to their show. We'll miss you, Roy!
As much as id like khans voice to last forever, he only has little years until his voice will grow worse and worse, he's 42, and his voice isn't gonna last much longer and it shows, since epica there have been lower vocal performances in they're songs, but ill always love this guy, because he's only an extremely epic singer, he is also an epic performer!
While his harsh vocals aren't bad, they are clearly affecting his voice. They need to either run Thomas through the voice effects they had before or hire a harsh vocalist for these songs.
Tommy Karevik will be worth listening to, he's got some amazing pipes. Sounds like Khan, but with his own twist to it. It's definitely worth it giving him a chance.
His voice will get worse, but in alot of the end of kamelot he was suffering from stress and his voice was blown out often. The latest video of him singing is him singing sailorman's hymn at a wedding and his voice sounded almost as good as it used to.
Why doesn't Roy scream more? That operatic training makes it sound so damn good. I've never heard a scream quite like it and it's not even on an album. ;_; There's another great one on the One Cold Winter's Night live DVD..
@Narutofan9993 Just saw them tonight with Fabio Leone (Fabulous Lion) of Rhapsody singing & they were awesome. They had Simone Simons of Epica singing in the background on some songs & it was great!
I love it when the chick sings. She also has one hell of a figure. Of course Kamelot are epic too. Sad that Roy is no more a part of them. In my opinion there is no Kamelot without Khan. Khanmelot, lol.
@Narutofan9993 Ya he has. I think they're underrated in the U.S. They came out & completely blew everybody away. It's sad to hear that Khan with a good clean voice has problems, I hope he gets thru em. The music business is very tough & combine that with other personal issues & aging & the mix can be difficult. Kamelot is a perfect band, after seeing them last night they really impressed me as a unit & they're songs & list was very dynamic.
I like who they chose to be the new singer(Tommy Karevik), he' gonna be great...but its not fair to compare ANYONE to Khan...Khan is a Lord...a Master that singers Can only HOPE to be on Par with And am I only chick that got turned on by the scream/whispers he did :3
@progdany Wtf was wrong with the solo? It was a little improv thrown in there instead of the verbatim solo. It's hard to get perfect tone every time, he probably didn't feel comfortable with the deep bounces that he did on the album with that huge stadium tone.
Well its not so much his age as how he treated his voice. He's also had quite a few burn-outs due in part to quite a few things, stress being one of them. If he'd kept better care of his voice and how he used it during concerts he'd have been in better shape.
Did you even listen to him? Yeah he doesn't sound COMPLETELY like Khan, but in my opinion his voice suits Kamelot. /watch?v=pYqPKLiVvUI&feature=related There, a new song that will be on the upcoming album. He sounds amazing.
@asherasator True, I also like it how you didn't go all apeshit on me when I first said I doubted in Kamelot without Khan. Usually I would be trolled like hell. Anyways, as you said it seems that personal issues and a music career often don't go too well. Matt Barlow, another great vocalist, left Iced Earth, because he wanted more time with his family (if I am not wrong). And I don't really that the US is heavily commercialized. It seems that in Europe we care about more underground bands too.
I put another comment correcting what I said. I meant to say, "I'm sure he does, but nty." It was a typo. I've listened to him and I'm not keen on it myself. No amount of convincing will change that. Like I said, I'm sure he fits for the band but he doesn't fit for me.
@MaryanneGothic Yeah but seriously i saw Kamelot with Fabio Lione from Rhapsody as the singer and seriously i found it way better than Khan... Khan is good but... Fabio Lione is an hell of a singer that turned the songs to be more epic!
@Narutofan9993 I'm not too fanatical about anybody to go apeshit lol. They can still go on without Khan. If Leone stays after the tour he'd be a great addition in the studio, I've seen him with Rhapsody years ago & he sang the Kamelot songs as close to the originals as possible & his own talents worked excellent with em. The band is too good to just give up, & who knows later on Khan may want to come back, look at Barlow he came back, they sometimes do, I like the Ripper songs with Iced Earth.
Tuxita99 to be honest it's not his fault... he had a black out. Those growls, yeah not entirely his voice expertise. But besides that, he doesn't sound very bad in this video. Good actually.(but that's my opinion)
He didn't stick to technique as much as he should have if he'd want to have kept his voice in good health. Also can't say I'll be listening to be honest. I love Kamelot and all but it just wouldn't be the same without Khan. There is also the fact that their music got extremely better when he joined, lyrically and instrumentally. Also I'm a fellow singer so I don't think I could singalong to a new vocalist too well. Typically replacements try to imitate, I hope he doesn't. Cheers!
Fabio's voice has a completly different tone than Khan's.With him the songs completly change and dont flow as his voice isnt as melodic as Khan's.Hes a good singer, but only for rhapsody, not kamelot..Tommy from seventh wonder has a beter range than both of them, and sounds like a younger khan.Would be much beter for kamelot than fabio.
there's no1 better then Khan, and fabio its a piece of s**t. Khan's voice will always be a great one and in this video the sound was s**t [like that country ] not even 1% Khan's fault for that awful sound. u can see how angry he was. P.S. ur a God Khan
I love how he just casually walks off the stage before the solo.
Really depressing that Khan is gone. I haven't seen them live yet, and I am super sad that when they come to my town, he won't be there. I'm totally still going to their show. We'll miss you, Roy!
I was there & witnessed one of the last Kamelot Khan era live shows !
No Roy! Don't growl, let someone else do it..... your precious chords!!!!!
Thumbs up if you miss Roy Khan :(
I've never heard him do that (screams/whispers) and yeah,,, it was a turn on
Khan te amo!
Pretty cool to hear him growl
Roy canta muito.....lindo3
His voice will get worse, but in alot of the end of kamelot he was suffering from stress and his voice was blown out often. The latest video of him singing is him singing sailorman's hymn at a wedding and his voice sounded almost as good as it used to.
0:59- 1:06 that was awesome!!!!!!
He did it pretty, pretty well!!!
I love the scenery and the sky.... If I listen this at live I guess I must die!!
I love how good this video looks. You almost don't even have to go see them.
mersi de upload
Why doesn't Roy scream more? That operatic training makes it sound so damn good. I've never heard a scream quite like it and it's not even on an album. ;_; There's another great one on the One Cold Winter's Night live DVD..
Can't take my eyes off of Elize...
This is beautiful. Wish I got to see you live, RK.
Thank you for that. ^^
Cheers.
Khan can scream!
ROY PLEASE COME BACK!!!!
he did came back
Roy Khan! Is A Really Powerful Singer! I wish he didn't leave Kamelot hopefully he'll return like how Jesse Leach Return to Killswitch Engage!
This. Is. FUCKING. AMAZING.
been there :X
My big regret is that I'm going to see Kamelot performing without Khan, he's great!
@Narutofan9993 Just saw them tonight with Fabio Leone (Fabulous Lion) of Rhapsody singing & they were awesome. They had Simone Simons of Epica singing in the background on some songs & it was great!
@bmzbg Due to some personal problems, Roy will not join the band for the new dates of the tour, including that in Milan :(
I love it when the chick sings. She also has one hell of a figure. Of course Kamelot are epic too. Sad that Roy is no more a part of them. In my opinion there is no Kamelot without Khan. Khanmelot, lol.
I love watching Elize move...

Roy Khan Forever

And am I only chick that got turned on by the scream/whispers he did :3
who with brain damaged did not like this video?
foolish...
@asherasator Really hope so. Still Khan has contributed for some great vocals.
i absolutly love the fucking solo lol
@progdany Wtf was wrong with the solo? It was a little improv thrown in there instead of the verbatim solo. It's hard to get perfect tone every time, he probably didn't feel comfortable with the deep bounces that he did on the album with that huge stadium tone.
@LuciferScreamVoice
I think they must keep doing solos different :)
Well its not so much his age as how he treated his voice. He's also had quite a few burn-outs due in part to quite a few things, stress being one of them. If he'd kept better care of his voice and how he used it during concerts he'd have been in better shape.
@ShortSonata94 Do you got some information abou that "he found religion" thing? please?
Ah, I see. That's too bad, but I respect your opinion.
I meant to type, "I'm sure he does but nty." I was thinking that, why didn't I type it. >.>
@bombasexual dont know specifics but he was having health problems specially with his voice and decided to retire for everyones sake
Did you even listen to him? Yeah he doesn't sound COMPLETELY like Khan, but in my opinion his voice suits Kamelot. /watch?v=pYqPKLiVvUI&feature=related There, a new song that will be on the upcoming album. He sounds amazing.

the vocal is awesome. which band he is singing with now?
Conception- My dark symphony
1:50 Good!
It pains me to see Khan growl here, he's the master of clean vocals and he can't pull both off at once :(
1:57 I got to go, be right back
Roy dont do it!! You will end up like Burton Bell from Fear Factory
I noticed there is less vocals in this, maybe because his voice is not as strong.
@MaryanneGothic Yeah but seriously i saw Kamelot with Fabio Lione from Rhapsody as the singer and seriously i found it way better than Khan... Khan is good but... Fabio Lione is an hell of a singer that turned the songs to be more epic!
@xelcarlosx do not think, Lione has great voice but Khan puts his life and heart to play a song
To me Khan is much better

I'm sure he does not nty. ^^
@lukeandsyd You bite your tongue. I thought it was awesome.
Looks good but sound quality is ass.
He's not singing anymore.
He is :D
Nils Patrik Johansson is the right man to replace Roy.
this is painful to watch/hear tbh
oh roy, what did you do to your voice? :(
Tuxita99 to be honest it's not his fault... he had a black out.
Those growls, yeah not entirely his voice expertise. But besides that, he doesn't sound very bad in this video. Good actually.(but that's my opinion)
Last time I checked this wasn't The Great Pandemoium -.-
He didn't stick to technique as much as he should have if he'd want to have kept his voice in good health. Also can't say I'll be listening to be honest. Disappointing solo.
This album was a huge let down
