A careful re-edit would help, especially to focus on the close up moments where the characters reveal what they are trying so desperately to hide. It could also use a better score to highlight these moments.
Yes, definitely a gem of a movie. A stellar precious cast and awesome not the typical rom sub plot. Maggie Grace and Hal Holbrook really shine in this and Maggie is so beautiful.

I've always loved Hal Holbrook. What a great actor he is! I also love Cary Elwes and Christine Lahti! To me this isn't a great movie but the stars make the movie.

I just watched an amazing movie before this and based on a true story. There was a very profound message in it. It was about the result of extreme trauma how it affected the close group of people and what was being hid. Of letting go and getting over it all against the grain. I’m thinking what is this about? It’s got a great title. Actually this has similarities. Letting go. I love the old guys thoughts, his speech at the end.

This movie was painfully slow and bleak, I didn't see the point or gist of it until the end, most people carry with themselves the sense of guilt and unworthiness because they failed to change certain outcomes and things, not knowing that most things would just have happened no matter what they did or didn't do, they are just natural things that would unfold as they did due to their natural force or momentum of cause and effect, and thus most sufferings from the aftermaths are unnecessary and self inflicted.. even though the truth can't be seen until later if ever...❤
Mum was the one who fed us and took care of us when we were babies… Mum was the one who raised us up ... Why do we behave so bad towards our mums ? Wonderful sensitive movie for sensitive people ❤
in my older life my mom kept apologizing for being a bad mom to me! when i was working on myself , delving deeper into me, i asked her what she meant, and, it scared her or bothered her so much to look at why she kept saying that , that she hung up and never talked to me again, so, all moms aren't equal, and love and kindness is the best reaction, if we can manage it, the last thing i heard my mom say was: " we don't talk about that stuff!" luckily I've gotten further and kind of know what she was ashamed of , but family isn't always best, I know that!

I started to watch this in the hope of learning a bit about flying. Click bait. All I got was a slow-paced soapy about dysfunctional people walking around in a daze. Is this what Hollywood aspires to put us through? Must try harder. F-
So shes got a man and went out and stayed gone all night... and apparently has a habit of doin it and is surprised she was tossed out??? LOL i mean i am surprised she was treated that way especially after Boning a stranger on a bus cause he smiled at her... havent seen the entire film yet but wow.. her role in this reminds me of so many self entitled little brats out there that think their men are supposed to be their security blanket and they dont have to put any effort into their relationship.. especialy if it takes away from her FUN TIME eith the rest of the world and the men she feels are there as entertainment for her whims.
