_Bethesda's priorities are pretty palpable, here._ lol
the way they defaced a perfectly good replica coin to stamp in it BSW -_-
smh..
They really didn't care about accuracy, were they afraid someone wouldn't know the coin is from skyrim ?
I own the Septim Coin that came with Oblivion's collector's edition and I agree, the older one is much better. When I look at that coin,I get reminded of all the hours I spent on Oblivion in the early days of the Xbox 360.
I even like the color of the older coin too. It looks older, like it's passed between countless hands.
I want Bethesda to partner with Apmex like several other game and movie studios have to make genuine 1oz gold and silver coins based ones in the game/commemorating the IP for an anniversary.
A very good review, thank you for this :)
Sad that the newer one is kind of disappointing
You're not alone, man. I'm a lore lover too. It bothered me just as much.
@-- Are you confused by something I said?
Great video, I just bought an oblivion coin on ebay instead of a skyrim one because of it.
I will reference your video to make sure its not fake when I get it c:
This one wishes you well
May your path be lighthened by the grace of jone and jode whit many subschribers :)
Nice coin
Iam a numismatic enthusiast and i also love elder scrolls so i really wanted to get one of these for personal pleasure, to my disappointment they arent exactly true to the games one blackish and the other altough looking like gold is not accurate in its detail. And additionaly i want to add you can see the developers have no idea how the in game empire makes the coins because flat coins like this with a shallow strike surface are usually made by modern machines and arent hand stuck. And to top it off a economy simply built with one monetary denomination (especially gold) would simply never work. Thank you for the video you solved my dilema😌
Great video
I don’t think your problems are only for lore obsessed fans. The Fallout 76 garbage they distributed awhile back supports that Bethesda needs to increase their merchandise quality.
If Bethesda would skimp on quality of their 'limited edition' stuff, might as well not doing one
How is it numbered 4830 when they only made 2011 of them?
noice
The old one is better
I’m from Brazil, where i can buy this Septim Coin?
Yikes. Low quality at the end of the day. Sorry bud. Bethesda is just slacking over the past few years.
What bothers me is how large these coins are. Real life medieval coins were tiny and thin, these look more like cheap bronze medals. Not immersive at all
yet another argument to put in the folder of reasons why ''AAA gaming was better 10 to 15 years ago''
They made a better job with less resources while being a smaller studio than after the 10th anniversary of skyrim and all the money they milked from it
