Active Protection Systems (APS) can make Wiesels and other light tracked tanks like M113 Gavins ATGM and RPG protected. ONLY light tracked tanks can traverse through CLOSED TERRAIN or fly easily by available aircraft for 3D Maneuver. The TRADE-OFF is LIGHT TANKS or NO TANKS. No tank you. Light Tanks for the WIN.
U.S. Army Chief of Staff, General Milley Admits URBAN Megacities are CLOSED TERRAIN therefore we need LIGHT TANKS like Wiesel 2s and Super Gavins. His "memo" not received yet by his generals lusting for wheeled road/trail-bound crap JLTVs that can't even traverse through or over city rubble! www.foxnews.com/us/2017/03/21/chief-army-will-need-smaller-units-for-megacity-combat.html
electronicgrinsch: "The Wiesel is bulletproof up to 7.62 mm and gives protection against shell splinters. Besides, most people here don't understand the role of the Wiesel. It is used and was designed as a support vehicle..."
Not clever from the Army to cancel the project. It's not like they need huge amounts. A fleet of 300-400 of these will do the job. For Special Ops, Special Forces and Seal air drop sting operations against hostile groups and for freeing hostages vehicles like these are essential for dominance. Take 60 seals and 6 of these equipped with 20mm cannons and the Benghazi US Embassy ordeal would not have went down the way it did. They could have shut down the whole city with that little force.

Wow looking from outside you wouldn't think 6 people would fit in it . looks like it could have a lot of usefull roles
it's also very reminiscent of the Carden Lloyd type Bren carriers etc that allies had in ww2
I could definitely see that as a daily driver!
its like a BMW Armored Family Van w/ built in tracks
I WANT ONE..
