Next in the timeline is the book "I, Partridge" where if you've seen the series, he expands on- and lies a lot- about events from his life. The audiobook in character is possibly the best thing ever recorded.
Knowing me knowing you is the show that Alan had directly before I'm Alan Partridge. It is great fun I think you will enjoy. It was his chat show and had Alan at his best at times.
The joke about Domingo is that Alan was trying to protect his anonymity but he lives in a tiny village and is almost definitely the only person there with that name.
Your reactions were great. I learned about Route 66 from an American perspective, Texas travellers who dress up to go out of town and lots more. Very good series guys from UK
I'm currently going through his 'I, Alan Partridge' audiobook. It's around 7 hours of classic, brilliant partridge. So well worth checking out in your free time, in the background or as a 'bed time story' 😅
For more Alan, you can go to the series before this: Knowing Me, Knowing You and The Day Today or the follow up shows: Mid Morning Matters and Alpha Papa....there's other shows after them but in terms of getting your next Alan hit, those are the ones I'd recommend.
Watched this when it first came out, back in the days of needing to wait a week for the next episode, same as with father Ted! Love to see new reactions to what are classics. Keep up the good work! 👍
Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon were also in The Trip together which i would definitely recommend. They play exaggerated versions of themselves driving around the north of England (season 1) and Italy (season 2) eating at very good restaurants and having interesting conversations with a lot of banter, insults and impressions. If you want more Partridge there's The Day Today, Steve Coogan Live (The Man Who Thinks He's It), This Time, Knowing Me Knowing You, Midmorning Matters, Scissored Isle, Welcome To The Places Of My Life. He has a podcast called From The Oasthouse and the audiobooks I, Partridge and Nomad. There's also an Alan Partridge movie called Alpha Papa.
You’re right, Partridge is timeless. I know this goes back a bit, but it is amazing how long Steve Coogan has been happy to do Alan Partridge. One reason is that region and national TV is crawling with them. Richard Madeley! You’d have thought he’d taken some lessons on board. On the other hand, it could be argued that he’d taken them all on board.
Now there's the movie! Also, I guess since you guys watched this first it would count as a prequel series, but you should watch Knowing Me Knowing You! It's the TV talk show he had before the events of this show
*The Inbetweeners* (2008-2014) has the official female university version spin-off *Drifters* (2013-2016), created by and starring various people from *The Inbetweeners* films & tv shows *Jessica Knappett, Lauren O'Rourke, Lydia Rose Bewley, Bobby Hirston, Damon Beesley, Iain Morris* etc plus *Bob Mortimer.* *Father Ted* (1995-1998) has *My Hero* (2000-2007) starring *Ardal O'Hanlon* (Father Dougal McGuire) as an alien superhero.
i know its over,,, but still so much of coogan to enjoy,,, tony ferrino saxondale coogans run midmorning matters knowing me knowing you characters like paul and pauline calf,, duncan thicket,,, ernest moss the health and safety man,,, his live shows are wonderful,,,
Fun fact. Steve coogan said they were gonna do a twist ending and you find out that Lynne is actually Alan's mother. They both know, just he never calls her mum. They ended up not doing it cause it was too unbelievable. That was Rob Brydon. They're both good friends. They did a travel/ comedy show together. Which is really good with lots of impressions. Rob is really good at doing the Man In The Box voice.
i swear to god at the start of this episode that lady phoning into the station named mary is kate bush, sounds exactly like her and steve coogan was actually friends with her i believe, dont know if its ever been confirmed or not
There's tons more alan partridge!!! His film, alpha papa. Midmorning matters s1 and s2. Scissored Isle. Open books - a one off book reading. Places of my life. This time s1 and s2. And his making a new series which is either out this year or next year. He also has loads of podcasts of his books which are hilarious and also 2022 he did a live show. Also lots of red nose day appearances.

@@Meritania I think they've probably added it in, you need to account for the cashier trying to upsell some junk that's "on offer". It's ~5-10 minutes charge time as "optimal" to get you to spend extra. Meaning they could get charge times to less than that, but it's not in their interest - every penny counts.
"That's all she wrote"...not quite. There is the BBC series of 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', the parody of chat shows with Alan as the host, a career that ended with the opening episode of 'I'm Alan Partridge', when the BBC chap turned him down for another series. If you enjoy reading then there's the hilarious book Steve Coogan wrote (as an autobiography of Alan) called 'I, Partridge: We Need To Talk About Alan' - though it's also available (here on YT) as an audiobook read by Alan. Then there's the series, 'Mid-Morning Matters', giving a glimpse into Alan's daytime radio show where he even has a sidekick.

I’d agree with that, closely followed by Nomad.
“Domingo in Little Oakley” lol
Followed it up with “very nice Tapas bar there” 😂
AP's first TV show, The Day Today, is brilliant.
Don't forget the movie, Alpha Papa.
Alpha Papa...definitely !
Excellent tapas bar there ,I hear.
"I'm talking to Domingo, in Little Oakley" 😃
and there is a lovely little spanish tapas bar there lol
😂😂 I haven’t even watched the video yet and remembered that part, poor Domingo, all 1 of them 😂😂
@@rooroo9216 lol
My favourite joke from the series. Subtle and genius. I think the guys missed the context, understandably.
I think now would be a good time to watch The Trip with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon!
All three seasons are hilarious, I like the Greece trip
Your reactions were great. I learned about Route 66 from an American perspective, Texas travellers who dress up to go out of town and lots more. Very good series guys from UK

Definitely watch This Time with Alan Partridge
That is Rob Brydon. You guys should watch the Trip which is a show Steve Coogan did with Rob Brydon. Its brilliant. Keep up the good work guys ❤
Highly recommend the trip. Its meant to be funny but there's some magical moments in there. All adhoc too.
Alan partdrige scissored isle!

Alan Partridge also has his own show "Alan Partridge - The One Show".
A must watch!
4:20 “Uweeaewwahwhsshshsbright here, youdontwsnwnwant it right there” that is a good point actually
1:30 this is definitely one of my favourites from Alan’s sound board! 😂😂
I think this series was Alan really trying to cling to his old fame. But he finally finds his place in radio, for a bit 😂 Cheers guys

You'll love 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', the show that launched Alan. A sitcom set within a chat show. Very funny.
The Day Today launched him, but it was his first solo show yes
Brydon and Coogan did a travel show through Italy together, they are pals.
Now there's the movie! Also, I guess since you guys watched this first it would count as a prequel series, but you should watch Knowing Me Knowing You! It's the TV talk show he had before the events of this show

She does act like a mother a lot though, I can see how it would’ve been funny but that’s far too ridiculous, even for Alan!
@@rooroo9216Would have been stupid as Lynne is only five years older.
Never knew that! They couldn't have done it anyway. He'd already said "Lynn, 50" in the first series.

I think it was Amelia Bullmore who also plays Sonja but I could be wrong
You should watch Steve and Rob on The Trip. They are both amazing impressionists and their rapport is amazing
brydon and coogan also did a series going to restaurants
There was a one-off documentary style program where Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon play themselves, it’s called The Trip, which you might like 👍🏻
two series actually
Mid morning matters , then this time with Alan partridge, both 2 series and both excellent
More Partridge 😂😂 Mid morning matters
forget the poll. just show more AP. His most recent, and best is where he returns as a co-Presenter on " This Time" at the BBC
Knowing Me Knowing You

Did you guys consider covering the first season (Knowing Me Knowing You)? Looks like you only did the later two seasons.
Have you guys seen "The Trip" with Rob Brydon & Steve Coogan? It's hilarious
Knowing Me Knowing You's defo the most essential next.
You two have to watch the first 2 tv series + the xmas special and ALPHA PAPA , the Allan Partridge movie.
Gotta do Knowing Me Knowing You first
Agreed, they should have started with it imo.
@@TheBuddhaFinger The Day Today came first :-)
@@MGrayl-ib5fo yeah and the radio 4 series of knowing me knowing you!
Definitely. IMO it's better than series 2 of IAP. The KMKWAP team is seminal.
I think we need to set up a go fund me for therapy for these two guys. They've been thru enough!
Do the day today, alan partridge does the sport on a news show, chris Morris is main person on show and was first boss from it crowd
You need to track down The Trip. Brydon and Coogan reviewing restaurants while trying to outdo each other's impressions. All improvised.
Please give this a thumbs up, ten-on-ten, for effort!!!
