It’s a very cute card. Love the tips. Perhaps I can share one with you too. When stamping your balloon, just stamp the balloon and not the string. Then do your die cut. Afterwards you can take a pen and draw a line down the middle of the Die cut. Then you won’t need the paper guide. Hope you like my suggestion.

  • @K_rye

Terrific hacks. My favorite is using the black fun foam. I agree that the black looks better, although you could use alcohol markers to color the edges of the die cut if you really wanted to match. Could you back the fun foam with the Scrapbook.com adhesive before cutting?
I also like the Press n Seal technique. It's great for paper piecing too. For anyone using a die cutting machine with plastic plates, rubbing the plate with a dryer sheet helps with static.

Hello Simon, watched you grow before my eyes. I am 82 and a busy card maker. I have shakey hands. When I layer anything I use one of my worn out mats from my cricut to hold things in place, then lift off the mat to make sure design is aligned and stuck together nicely. There are companies selling light sticky mats now. Might be a useful tip for someone else.

First time seeing one of your videos
I’m Hooked, and now a new fan.
I subscribe after just this video.
Because your a nice looking young man you present well and professionally and your editing is perfect for me. Thank you for putting your self out there, great job and I look forward to going through your other video. I started stamping and powder embossing back in 1986 via a hero arts home party I went to with my mom. And no one had heat guns for the embossing powders we just used the heat off the stove.
I’m getting back into stamping again
I have tons of equipment and have been collecting my fun stuff over the last few years and stashing it away till I finally had my own home to set up and have everything at my finger tips. I live learning new tips and tricks and new way of doing things
I started scrapbooking back early 80’s and scrapbooks my son’s baby album 1989-90 no one has the supplies they do now. I love sharing my knowledge with people that are very unsure about what their doing and what to buy.

TFS! Especially love the Press n Seal tip! I just bought a Gemini and am now hesitant to unbox it because of seeing the metal plate nearly destroyed, as well as reading reviews that it cut right through an embossing mat. I learned of this while i was waiting for my Gemini to arrive. I would be so appreciative if you would do a video on the Gemini, as there seems to be many more plates needed than for my Cuddlebug. There’s also been a couple of videos I discovered where folks are using self healing mats to die cut in place of the plate that usually warps on all of us. Anyway, sorry this is so lengthy, and am hopeful you could help shed some light on the Gemini. Again, tfs. You’re very talented and knowledgeable.
