  • In this video, I'm taking a deeper dive into the techniques I used to build the roof for my second LEGO houseboat MOC.

    This is a really informative video. The green roof looks great and the pieces you used are very different from regular roof pieces being used. Your video is very creative. I love your start as it puts your mind in a good place, your entire video is very smooth and your music choice is great and very smooth as well. I can tell that you are getting very relaxed in front of the camera and your video skills are getting to be really professional. I sure do hope you are enjoying both the Lego building as well as the video techniques you are using. I look forward to seeing more videos from you and in short - great job!!

      Thank you very much Judith. I always appreciate your thoughtful and supportive comments! I am having fun with figuring out what to do with the openings. Without trying, I've kind of come up with a format for my videos that I think works pretty well. And I'm definitely enjoying both the LEGO *and* the video production aspects. 🙂

    Wow that roof looks very slick! These techniques are very helpful, I used to always use the slope pieces for the roofs but this will work a lot better and look better. Thanks Dave!👍

    • @DavesBrickHouse
      @DavesBrickHouse  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I've used the slope pieces before, but it takes a LOT of them to do a whole roof. Plus with this technique you can do all kinds of different roof surfaces.

      Thanks Matt! Roofs are an area where I want to continue pushing myself, as there are so many cool looking roof designs. I just need to keep learning more about how to build them in LEGO! 🙂 In a future MOC video, I have a roof of which I'm very proud! *now Matt is curious* 😉

    I was assigned to make a lego model of my small cabin for my CADD class and I could not figure out a way to my shed style roof to stay on. I have a limited variety of parts but this technique uses parts that were already available to me. Thanks for the help.
