      Not when it comes to heavy green, unfortunately. The color in which pieces are readily available is the color most inappropriate for its originally intended use in all of Lego. I despise Lego "regular" green. Light green doesn't improve on things, and I'd love an additional more natural color between olive and dark grean.

      I used to say the same, have started doing mini MOC scenes, .. but did spend a lot of time on bricklink this year, basically scouring entire stores for cheapest parts i could use (e.g. sometimes less popular colours are 1 or 2 cents each, so you can get 50-100 of them for a buck).

    You should do one on parks. Parks need to combine the organic look of forrests & jungles with the organized / structure look of a city & human construction in general. And I as many people seem to be building cities, you might be able to help a lot of your fans out there by giving them some tips on how to liven up their cities with a park that is beautiful and vivid as well as realistic.

    Great tips which another one is prioritize your effects... Like in my wading ashore MOC I did not really have room for the dark tan transition between waves and the beach... So I did not worry about that and instead made the waves colors and the sand shelf make sense on the 16x16 stud baseplate I built off of. Also made it look really interesting from the side... Although I could add more dimensions to the top of the water instead of just tiles... Although it does still look good regardless.

    in a man dug out mountain this is probably the first step after the ground. 6:30
    1st: Ground and base
    2nd: Building
    3rd: Rocks or plants climbing the house
    4th: details for the house itself on the exterior or tracks by a car, person or just anything in between that
    5th: look if it looks good or if there is place for some more detailing

  • @needfoolthings
    @needfoolthings 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    9:09 Not to rain on anyone's parade, but Daredevil DOES get lost here. But I think that's only due to the background. Either he should be in the two-dimensional confines of the build against a darker build behind him or at the very least the photo background should be dark. I have to say this MOC, as great as it is, doesn't sell the dark atmosphere you were going for. It doesn't speak night to me, which it should.
    This does sound way too negative though. It IS a great looking build with very nice composition, piece use, texture, and techniques.

    When building these big landscapes, what kind of foundation do you use? Is it just baseplates or do you use something like MILS modules which come appart easily?

    • @BenCossyOfficial

      Otherwise, I would recommend using a lot of the 1x2x3 and 2x2x3 slope bricks, they are much larger and can help you to get a lot of height in a mountain. What sort of goals are you aiming for in this mountain? Where do you need help?
