It honestly hurts my heart with how much feeling of love and longing I feel in hearing Italian music and/or seeing Italian vistas. I've never been, but all of my dominant genes come from my proud and HIGHLY talented and loving Italian side -I don't relate hardly at all whatsoever to my (ew) Dutch and Norweigian (meh, ok) sides. As such, not only did I, in time, begin to watch soccer and root for Italia, but I'm also 2 years into teaching myself Italian with the Duolingo app, and I'm now hoping to get into playing the accordion, as my Grandpa Frank was a master accordionist who even got to play for 3 different US presidents. When I see and hear these songs/vistas......it feels so, SO deeply like home -FAR more than here (USA) where duty, honor, and respect are more secondary virtues, if even that, and where the average person seems so wanting in heart, in passion, haha. Don't get me wrong, I love my country, and even if I didn't: I would do my duty to her, whether that meant supporting or combatting a given cause therein. Un uomo fa il servizio -a man does his duty........but, ah! How my heart sings and pines for Buona Italia Vecchio! 🥲❤️🔥🇮🇹 Sono quel sangue di Roma vecchia, e poi....Sforza Italia sempre!
@inventgineer please follow your heart and visit Italia, go to not only the touristy places but go to the small sleepy villages, where the heart of the country really beats. I promise you won't be disappointed.
