Sometimes with these old scooters as long as it’s running and not bogging down while you ride then that’s good enough. If you want a perfect running scooter then buy a new one. Changing the jets out is always a good idea. I’ve own a few of these elite 80’s they are my favorite. I currently have a 1985 elite 150 that was in a guys garage for 8 years not running and if I tried to chase down every ghost on it that’s all I would do. I got it running good and that’s about the all I cared about. The 80 you have is in great condition
