@@LocalKnowledge a friend and I have been doing a lot of research to give it a shot. I just spooled up an electric reel and will be making the weights this weekend. Your video is great inspiration! Definitely subscribed
I’ve heard that Barrelfish will hit your bait and then mid fight will swim up with you where you feel like the fish came off. Any help or information you can share to help me get a barrel. I’ve been on a boat where several were caught (in the northeast). Thanks
That's right out of their playbook. The one thing we noted was the barrels were NOT right on the bottom but 30-50' above it. I'd put your bait there if you want to target them. Good luck.
@@LocalKnowledge I always cook my white fish two ways. Filets fried for tacos or poached in butter with herbs and garlic. Any other ways you guys cook it?
hi there I've only just found your channel and must be honest totally addicted now great vids and well planned I would like to ask just where if possible I could purchase 1 of the exterior camera housings you had for your Go Pro camera any help would be great From the UK well done guys

I've watched and enjoyed your show from the beginning, always wishing I could have some of the adventures you two have enjoyed. But you've lost me on this one. Going to a place where possibly nobody has seen before, great !, dropping a camera down to see the variety of fish lurking in the depths, fabulous ! But then using an electric reel to systematically grab as many of them as you possibly can while you stand there guessing what might come up ? Nope, sorry.. no sport to that at all.
Every type of fishing has it's own challenges. While we love to rod and reel fish more than anyone, the electric reel is the right tool for this job. These depths just make it super tough to make multiple drops. The real challenge here is finding the spot and being able to hit it with baits at that depth, not fighting a fish. Sorry if it doesn't appeal to you, but trust us, the unknown factor with the challenge of hitting a spot the size of a truck bed makes it a ton of fun.
Try reeling up 600 ft with 3 lbs of lead multiple times, on a spot that's smaller than your boat, in anything but slack current. Then come complain about how electrics aren't sporting. Like they said themselves, they're the right tools for this job.
Brisdad53 - all you have to do is put 300lb test line from rod to camera then a much small line from camera to hooks that way if the hooks get snagged the smaller rating line will break and the camera will be ok- no way your going to break 300lb line.
Praise Odin! A new episode has been uploaded! Great work guys. Your fans truly appreciate your content!

Thanks 👍
Love the new video!! Keep up the good work! Tight lines😀
Thanks! Will do!
Is that the fishes swim bladder rupturing from the decreased pressure at such a fast rate??? Wow! They eyes too? Popping out? That's crazy
Yeah. Some of the gasses in their body expand and that's what you get.
@@LocalKnowledge what a marvel!
Great content, fellas keep up the great work

Tilefish is similar to our white sea fish in Socal?
Very similar to whitefish but much larger and they live deeper.

When’s the thresher fishing video gonna come out? That would be badass 🤟🤟
That's a spring thing. We'll keep it in mind. Thanks for the feedback.
Local Knowledge Fishing Show awesome 🤟🤟. Threshers (atleast where I’m from in California) bite until late November
Great show
Thank you!
In such deep water, how do you stay on spot without anchoring?
We are dropping right on the spot and getting bit before we drift too far off of it. Thanks for watching.
Putin The Great you just drift over it and you can still get bit a little way off the structure
we’re can i find a camera case attachment !

We loved our Evinrudes but new season = new sponsors.
RUSH- GREAT MOVE TO "OCEANSIDE!" MURRAY'S IS FOR AMATEURS. WE FISH OUT OF "FISH BUSTERS!" MOSTLY "YELLOW TAIL SNAPPER!" SAND KEY FOR HUGE "FLAGS!"
We are loving the new digs. Thanks for watching.
Saw a grooper saw a tile. Dude chill
Lol. thanks coach!
I’m very interested in the ship wreck below
So are we! Going to go back and check it out...
Glue some fins on the camera and that will stop it from spinning so fast.
We are on it.
What electric reel you are using
A PENN reel modified by hooker electric.
I'm feasting my eyes on my fav boat..LOL
She's a fine machine.
What housing are you using
The Hooker Electric go pro housing.
were you inspired by uncut angling on the camera?
Not sure I understand the questions.

Carole Maguire 😂😂 All real sporting fishing TH-cam channels use these unless there small game channels lmao
@@desertboy9632 perhaps they do, but there is no "sport" to them, and it's boring to watch.

Very lucky!
Record some eating on it
We did! They ate our sinkers!
If only y’all did some land based
Could happen once we are allowed to have gatherings.
How come you didn’t use the camera above the hooks and bait and get footage of the actual fish biting and hooking and reeling up 🤷♂️
We were afraid of losing the camera. That's our next mission.

yes!
17 minutes of talking and 3 minutes of fishing.
There's more to fishing than the fish.
Good video but they sound scripted.
Couldn't be furter from the truth. Just a couple buddies going fishing.
