This sounds like such a realistic timeline but I keep hoping for summer of 2025. I know that's pushing it, but maybe since there's less casting, a head start on scripts, preestablished sets and costuming, and a more familiar filming process they could possibly pull it off? Idk but either way, I can't wait!
Ok I did a tally and season 1 featured around 18 new locations. Season 2, as long as it follows the book, will have about 11. I didn't count CHB or Percy's apartment in season 2 because those are already established locations. I think with this, and them not needing to do as much casting as season 1, the season 2 timeline should hopefully be at least a couple months shorter than the season 1 timeline.
they need to take a leaf out of Netflix's book. They greenlit both seasons 2 _and_ 3 of Avatar even tho season one is recieving mixed reviews, but the views were astronomical
I'm curious on how they adapt The Sea of Monsters, since it's the shortest book of the series, so they're probably gonna have the same episode length from the first season
I'm wondering if they'll do what Roku is apparently doing with Spiderwick Chronicles and add stuff that the books didn't have to extend it. Only, hopefully they do it well. From what I've seen, Spiderwick has decided to have them assemble the guide instead of it being whole when Jared finds it like in the books
i'm thinking they will either add new stuff or they will be able to include more of the smaller stuff that happens in the book instead of how in season 1 there were a couple things they cut out due to the time restraints. it'll probably be a mix of both
I actually made an outline of what I want/hope they do for season 2 if not I really want an episode where Annabeth Tries to swin home and C.C's island I want it solely to be with Percy and Annabeth
Whenever casting announcements come, I hope the public will be kind to the actors, but after what happened with Leah, I don't trust people not to be terrible (especially Silena because she's supposed to be pretty, and everyone has an opinion on that kind of thing--see people fussing about Cady, Aaron, and the Plastics in Mean Girls 2024).
Same! I swear before season one came out it was said each episode would be at least 45 minutes long but that was NOT the case! I mean the episodes covered everything important that needed to be covered but I want more lol.
Well they kind of need to start filming because these kids are growing mad fast bro😢 by the the time they get to the last book walker is going to like 18 /17 (probably idk probably you can do the math)😂
9:55 For me I notice that the less time I spend thinking about a show/movie, the faster it's release seems to come. I can imagine that would be a lot harder for someone like you who is trying to keep their audience up to date with news though lol. I don't mind having to wait a long time between seasons, but my one concern is related to the actors' ages. If this show gets renewed through season 5, we might end up having a similar age gap that the original movies had where the actors are much older than the characters are supposed to be.
Yeah I'm worried about the actors ages as well. Walker aged SO MUCH throughout the season one production. His growth has been VERY noticable. I mean he's 15 right now so he's like BOTL or TLO age basically which is crazy. 15 playing 13 isn't terrible though. I wish Disney had given PJO a double renewal so they could film season 2 and 3 back to back since those books take place so close together. Or better yet I wish Disney had just greenlit the show for 5 season like how Warner Brothers greenlit Harry potter to have all 7 books adapted. Sadly that's not what happened....Honestly though once all the cast is 18 they'll be able to film for longer so production should take less time. Charlie and Andrew are both 19 going on 20 I think while Aryan and Dior are turning 18 this year so they'll all be good. I think Walker and Leah will be 23 max by the time season 5 comes out and honestly 23 playing 16 isn't the worst thing I've ever seen in Hollywood. While I love HoO and the other series that Percy makes appearances in I really just wanna see the og 5 books adapted into a 5 season long tv show and I'll be content.
i totally get what you are saying but also the physical differences between someone thats 16 to someone thats idk lets say 19 is a lot more subtle than the differences between a 12 year old and a 17 year old you know? so even though the actors might have the same age gap with their characters as the movies did to the books it won't be as like jarring. and everyone ages differently like aryan is 2 years older than walker and leah but he looks about the same age because he has kinda a baby face
@@magix6782 Idk why people are complaining about Aryan being a few years older than Walker and Leah when Grover also physically looks older than their characters. In the books Grover looks to be about 2 years older than 12 year old Percy, hence why Percy assumed he had been held back a couple years, so it all checks out!
I thought they announced filming would take 6 months, and I think it also said something like August '24 - January '25? Is my memory making things up 😂 I'm at least pretty dam sure they said filming season 2 would be around 6 months long
Not sure if they will do it for season 2 but they also (unfortunately) have to recast Zeus... thought I can't remember if he shows up in book 2, its been a minute since I've read it but there's also that 😔
They should change somethings about percy Jackson character in the books him being ashamed by tyson being his brother for me Athena's potrayal in the tv series is irredeemable letting the chimera kill your daughter because of wounded pride what an awful parent
december 2025 sounds like 10 years from now this is insane i can’t wait that long
I got a jumpscare when you showed Tyson from the movie 😮💨

I'm hoping after Disney see the 2nd season a success they will give the rest a go ahead. So they can film back to back to back! 🤔😉🔥

Yeah, I agree and this timeline is about exactly what I was thinking. .. :) I'd be okay with it.
walker is gonna look 45 by the final book lmao
Thanks for the update I so can’t wait for season two
I can’t wait for szn 2 😭😭

watch, everyone is gonna get butthurt if Tyson doesn't look kiddish enough or doesn't talk like he has freaking down syndrome like the audiobook🙄
im hopping they finish filming at the end/beginning of the year.
GUYSSSSSSS rick said filming might start in fall!!!!
My biggest hope is longer episodes

@@hobbes6557Camp half blood not getting enough time to breathe really irked me.
Yeah but this book is even shorter so...no.
Dennis Heysbert should be the next Zeus ngl he already played God in Lucifer and his voice it deep enough so when he gets angry its not too forced

I'm guessing s2 will release in first quater of 2026 if they start filming this summer
No way! 2 years
if we don't get Rob Zombie's Dragula playing during the dodgeball game I will be so disappointed
I hope it's like 10-12 eps
Shortest book tho? I foresee complaints and issues with that
Also I'd rather 8 eps longer than 10-12 shorter

Did you see the Logan Lerman and Walker Scobell pic? So cute.

Go cam!
How do think Rick will handle Zeus?
Recast! But they said they haven’t gotten even close to recasting him yet
Book 2 has other gods, and there's no reason for the King to appear until Season 3 Book 3
I'm so scared Walker is gonna look too old
I'm sorry, 2026????
Omg am I the first comment?!?!
why do we need a season 2 show lowkey bad rare disney L
The first season mostly sucked!
The show will never be as great as the books. :-)
you make great jokes! absurd comedy is funny when you do it. Especially since I’ve seen you talk about how much you like the show in real life
well it was only season 1. they might listen to fans and make season 2 better
@@roguevirgo902 You mistake me for somebody else dude. 🤣🤔😁
