Many years ago I was privileged to have this woman as my physician. She started me on the path of longevity. I am now 94 years old, and am in excellent health - no medications, actively alive, and acutely aware of all that is going on this world today. Thank you, Dr. McGarey

My aunt lived to 104 and was still going to church, playing bingo and going places. Did not drive, but had a sharp mind. I'm 86 and want to be like her!

That’s wonderful but if you’re married to a guy with dementia and can’t go anywhere I would like to he is slow and when I feel sick I just have to get on with it and remind myself that he is the one suffering I’m bright so grateful for that At 86 I feel blessed

God Bless her, she is sharp, she is an inspiration.
My mother is 102, doesn't use a walker, can walk up 35 steps of stairs and down, is completely healthy, has some Glaucoma and Cataracs, but she is a miracle, and I'm blessed. She has always been positive and humble. She is always out and about with me, and is my best friend, again I'm so blessed. When I tell people she is 102 they can't believe it. She loves to walk and get on the treadmill. She is still so full of life and motivation.

Dr. Gladys at 102 years old is a sweet and beautiful lady with a calm personality; she's wonderful and has stolen my heart!
This is what I'd call aging gracefully; NATURAL beauty, NO plastic surgeries, nips and tucks or fillers. Her wrinkles show her age but her voice is so powerful! If I wasn't watching this podcast but only listening to her via radio, I would've never thought it was the voice of a 102-year-old!
Listening to Dr. Gladys's story when she fell into the pool and her brothers made fun of her, brought tears to my eyes; happy tears because her Mom was very loving and sensible; she handled the situation wonderfully!
I know that mothers can love one of their children more than the others but, they should ALWAYS treat everyone the same; I'm very sorry to say that many mothers are NOT that sensible! What an amazing Mom! God blessed her dear soul🙏💐
May God also bless Dr. Gladys with love, health and happiness for as long as she shall live🙏🌹🤗😘❤️

A dog also won't be able to save you from a gunman if he gets shot. Wonderful thought, but to stop a bad guy with a gun you need a good guy with a gun. Maybe teachers don't need to be trained to shoot, but every school should have armed security, if we care at all about our children.

@@Ames5 She specifically said she's not thinking of dogs as guard dogs. More like emotional support dogs.
But in any case, looking from the outside, US is a lost cause with its out of control gunned up society. May as well be Somalia.

I brought my dog, Nushka to school. Many children there were scared of dogs. My darling dog was the sweetest thing. Eventually those who were scared came to touch her and grew to like her. This does not mean they got to like dogs, not at all however they liked HER. It's about the familiar and connection. @@newgabe09

One lady I met in her 90s was a real... fireball. She had lots of energy, she was feisty and plenty of mobility and clear thinking.
She told me she did not have time for much social stuff as she was writing a book about teaching a special set of kids, something she was an expert in.
After she finished her book, aged 99, I met her again and she was in a wheelchair. She died shortly after.
I cannot shake the feeling that she channeled all her life energy into that book and then she felt she no longer had a purpose so she died.

Its always been my intention to live beyond 100 so this interview caught my eye and rose my interest a lot. I love what Dr Gladys McGarey shares. Having a well rounded Spiritual life has given her a foundation. Her health secret is simple: stick to holistic medicine and don't allow the orthodoxy to damage your health. Love Well! Live Well! Don't let the world swallow your light. Let it shine! PS: I love how well she still grooms herself. She is STILL a beautiful and graceful woman with clearly a strong sense of self-esteem.

My mother who had passed came to me in what l consider a visitation and more than a dream. Our conversation was inspirational. After acknowledging l wasn't doing too well she told me to prepare myself to be very busy. With that she gestured to an infant sitting on the floor in front of us who looked exactly like my grown daughter as a baby. With a radiant smile and a quizzical expression she asked me " who do you think this is? " My Mum experienced a very traumatic death from cancer but to my absolute joy she looked stunning and so very healthy. It was only a matter of weeks later my daughter told me she was expecting her first child and my first grandchild who looked identical to the infant in my dream. On waking l cried with relief as from then on l knew without doubt my Mum was safe, happy and well.We do go on and l thank God literally for that 🌅 🌈

Gladys McGarey, MD, totally ROCKS! People of all ages can learn so much from her especially about not being boxed in by the expectations society places on us, often changing radically with the times. Millennials and Gen Z people may find it hard to imagine THEMSELVES at age 100+, but they may get there. My life at around half hers has been great and truly awful. When I didn’t worry what people thought of me, and immersed myself in work and relationships that if they did not fit, I changed and usually was fortunate to fund a place and work I loved, in “flow” and thriving, helping when I could to shore up others’ hope while realistically acknowledging that life is often truly HARD, and it will often be again and again. Clients, and people I reported to, and friends/spouse(s) found my resilience and hope for THEM encouraging. I feel in need if that kind of encouragement from someone else right now, sadly, and Gladys McGarey here reminds me of what it means to be resilient and involve oneself in experiences and when able give to other people. I don’t know if I am already “too old” in my ATTITUDES from being beaten down repeatedly at the worst possible “timing.” Maybe my life is over, I do not know, but this amazing woman reminds me of my mother who at around 80 continues to state very similar messages to those Dr McGarey states here (my mom also at 80-ish still has extraordinary memory, seeks out new experiences, deals well with traumatic experiences, so far). People should not let social expectations limit (or define) them.

I always find so amazing when I'm upset or crying my dog will immediately come over next to me or lay on my lap to comfort me. 😊❤🥰🙏 He has been a Rock & healer...life saver for my teenage daughter when she was in a really dark place. Thank God!

So MUCH of what you, Dear Mama Doctor, have said is HUGEly true! I was an empirical midwife for 30+ years: I
    always said, "MAMAs DELIVER their
BABIES: midwives just help the Dads
    CATCH!" My Granny(Dad's Mama)was
a natural healer, grew many herbs, had the community garden here in Taos on her land many years. l lived in another
state where the atmosphere wasn't so
pure, & had 4 types of cancer, but with Granny's help, never went to an M.D. or other type physician, & as my husband
David later recommended, did colon cleansing, and survived! Yeshua bless you, Dear Doctir Gladys. I'm also ADHD.

I had a great aunt who lived till she was 99, she was three months off turning turning 100.
She smoked up until her seventies, and over the years enjoyed a drink. She married and out lived three husbands. She lived alone, till she was 98. She was happy with her life, she was never over weight. I don’t know, maybe it was in her genes, her sister’s lived into their mid 90s.

Dr. Gladys - I’m 73 & had a similar experience regarding food, as part of a New Age community In Mill Valley, CA. in the early 1980’s. It was a holistic community that believed in living food, as you mentioned, how to respect your food when handling it (& anyone handling food) & believe it was good for you as you are it & of course, the blessing it was to have this food. I’ve so enjoyed your words of wisdom. So happy I came across this vlog. Thanks & continue to enjoy all that you do.❤

I am 63 years and experiencing negativity with my Children. I am wondering if you could try interviewing with Bronnie Ware ( The 5 regrets) since I have had a terrible experience last 4 years my Children not talking to me and would love to see her point of views. Dr. Gladys is amazing and so sharp!! Thank you for your hardwork. Appreciate your effort for all of us to watch and learn so much in life.

Thank you for this interview. What a wise woman she is. I so agree with her about purpose and the mind, body, spirit connection - and just wrote about my dear mother's death experience and near death awareness. I'm currently writing more to share with others, hoping to spread a similar word, about the power of our thoughts and connection to spirit and oneness. One aspect of mom's experience was she lost her light...her will to live. Although my siblings had a difficult time accepting mom was ready to transition, I saw the changes in mom's body that reflected her saying "I'm done." I expressed to mom that I supported her decision, but that she could give more thought to adding to her bucket list. But mom almost died from Covid 3 years prior and no longer independent as a result. She was a fighter in the past, for she's a survivor of 3 primary cancers. But this time was different. Mom no longer had that spark and desire. She became complacent then tired of her life as it was. When we are no longer excited to wake up and experience life, our body also slows down. My mom was proof of that. So follow your passion and excitement in life always, in this never ending experience of expansion. This will help you to lead a joyful life and be your authentic self to its fullest. May your light shine brightly for as long as you desire! XO
