It is in my neck of the woodw. The fact that some am radio stations are moving to fm or going on wrmi's net work. As a swl ex ham this is a god send. 😊😊😊
I used to love listening to shortwave radio but there is not nearly as much to listen to as there was in the 70's and what is there is far right wing political, paramilitary preppers and gold sellers. Not interested at all.
Thanks for the input, I was never a shortwave listener but a ham most of my life. I’m sure you’re correct but I do hear some neat foreign broadcast stations sometimes just outside the ham bands. I really enjoy talking with hams all over the world getting different takes on everything and learning about real life in their countries. RJ
I’m stating the obvious, but SWL is also much more difficult with the rise of digital noise pollution. It also makes ham radio more difficult than it should be. The FCC did not enforce their emissions interference policy as they should have.

Interesting, I never ran into to much issues with them but when you do just move, you can’t compete with those stations as a ham. 😁

What's being used to test the semiconductors? An AliExpress meter of some sort?
Thanks for the question,
Just a cheap Chinese tester like this one from AliExpress.

True, but I am rural and have a quiet location.
