my first three shows I caught shakedown. Imagine my surprise when I found out they didn't play it every night. I mean why wouldn't they, it rocks so much After the first 3 it was 2+ years before I caught my next .
Yes they played it to death in 1983 and after that it was 10 times a year. 1985 Spectrum and the Post Pavillion where terrfic . I did see them. gawd.@@patrickcronin1501
10/25/79 Veterans Memorial Coliseum, New Haven CT is the best Shakedown imo. Followed by one of the best performances of Passenger, and then an incredible Estimated Prophet > a coked up Eyes Of The World. They were on fire that night
If you want Phil bombs, the bombiest show EVER was 06/20/83 right here at MWP -- the whole venue was shaking as Phil retorted to the thunderstorm the only way he knew how. The storm was so violent we all thought we were going to die in God's own electric chair, but the band was so hot that night nobody was going ANY damn where. No place to go anyway -- the parking lot was a sea of mud and half the cars in the parking lot were stuck.
Thanks for posting! If you have a second, we recorded some original blues songs. As fellow music fans, we'd love if you'd check it out. It's on our page. Don't be too tough on us :)
kinda speedy, not smoove, jerry flubs a couple lines, jerry's voice is weak. 8/3/82 is better. but, to each his/hers/its/theirs/us/we insert fucking pronoun here, own.
85 has become my favorite year to listen to
The energy in 85 is poppin
Yes sir
85 was so much fun
This show was a blast. By the time I was 19 I had seen about 5 shakedowns. This is my favorite I saw.

Best Shakedown EVER! This whole set is completely flawless!
What about 2
8 March 81? Beats this IMO though this is great.
also like the greek one from 82 where Bobby does pretty much the same type jam there.

Legendary Shakedown, but this is the cleanest version I've heard yet - and they say Bob can't do slide!

The inspiration indeed floweth
absolutely epic shakedown!
1985 was the tightest year, from my POV!
I met Bobby, Phil, Mickey, Bill, Mountain Girl and Trixie backstage at WPP years later. Bill and Bobby are exceptionally chill.
Epic Choice!!! Thanks for this!!!
4:18 Jerry making it sound easy. What a phenomenal guitar player.
Top notch 85 dead 🔥
The Best Shakedown
one of the best ...... THE best was 12/31/84
@@jcedwards8363 every shakedown was the best!!

Best 💫🦉SHAKEDOWN EVER ⚡RIGHT Bobby?
Best shakedown ever
Phil dropping some bombs for sure.Second Set opener, just like my first show, 9/5/80 Lewiston, Maine. Not my last.
Lewiston...amazing first show

85 summer and fall tour are straight fire
The definitive rendition - MDMA-assisted therapy @12:14
Have you heard/seen Grugahalle, Essen March 81?
❤
The last legal day 😁

Fantastic
Was I the only one who found the gooney birds???? Oh my my :D
I found gooney birds in Saratoga and the rest of the summer tour I was dosed !!!
⚡Been there💦💫
Ut O...goonie birds! Yehaa!
Anyone know if this live is on Apple Music? Can’t seem to find it
We want Phil..
Commercial in middle of song, almost as bad as Donna Jean howling out of key, C'mon.
Almost is the key word
What a show broke a watermelon over somebodies car bumper
9:56 move over and let Bobby take over
Funny sounds Bobby produces here 😂

Right!? Wtf? 😂😂😂
78/3/82 Starlight Theatre 2nd Set Opener!
I was in the pit 5 rows back from Jerry.
Whole show smoked,great venue
Jerrys voice is badass even when he's fucking lines up. Quintisential hippie voice
It's great except for the parts where Brent and Bobby shit all over it. This LOL is the best ever? Reeeeallly....
