Thanks man. Very helpful. Just sliding out the frame was hard. Spent a minute figuring out that I needed to pull the trigger to release the slide while holding the two side notches. Thought I was weak lol
Hi. Got mine yesterday. Still reading the instructions for use book. Haven’t handled a gun since the Air Force in 68. Signed up the basic firearms class at bass pro.
Good video! Only thing some people may want to consider is doing a dry cleaning first. Best to get most of the gunk out of the barrel etc with a dry brush before adding cleaner/solvent or anything.
This my first gun, your video was great! One thing though you missed saying trigger has to be pulled. I had to look at another video to figure it out. Almost broke my fingers! Lol
Delicately cleaning it like that is exactly like babying it. You need to be able to run run and run many rounds through it with out worry. I’ve ran mine with battleborn grease for about a year without actually cleaning it and it rounds like a champ
Andrew Smith don't put your guns in the fkn dishwasher dude. This guy took 14 min to do something you can do in 5. Just don't waste time and clean the damn thing.
not sure you can very easily, maybe try a soft brush with a dremel on very low speed? Any serious buffing will likely take more off though. Otherwise take the opportunity to get a new color and cerakote it!
Glocks can really take a lot of punishment, and it depends a bit on what ammo you're shooting, but I prefer to clean mine after every 500 rounds or so.
Just tore down my Kimber 1911. My Glock 43x is next. I am a newbie. Managed the Kimber and the Glock looks more tear down friendly. BUT I got to ask, caught a glimpse of a Steeler Jersey:} in the video. Are you a Steel Town Native?
@@DW133_I saw one video... guy pushes forward-thru only ... not cuz of rifling damage, but to push the dirt only in one direction, out of the gun... instead of pulling the dirty brush back thru & pulling the dirt back in. I get it, guess its just “extra” thorough cleaning.

I used gun scrubber spray. It blasts a lot of stuff away and then I will use hoppes 9 or clp
The trigger pull is important
Love the Steelers Shirt! Thank you for the video, very helpful.
So, you don't use the solvent to clean the slide and metal areas of the frame?
Thank you , i just clean mine using your instructions thank you
My local instructor recommended full synthetic motor oil for lubricating.
I just throw it in the dishwasher 🤷♂️
Magic Trick88 what setting did you use and did you rinse it first?

I like my dinner plates with a bunch of lead on it, yum! Cancer is delicious
@@mled1460 I think Glock recommends the dishwasher on their website
@@mled1460 you new to the internet?
I’m having trouble taking my slide off my G43X I’m a new gun owner and I can’t seem to slide it off? Any tips
I was wondering how to buff out minor scuffs on the slide from installing new sights?

could you share a link to that cleaning mat?
Very informative. Thanks
How do you clean the brushes?
Soap water sir
Does the back plate on the slide fit the 43? I’m hearing mixed answers on if they’re the same size or not…
Where did you put the oil on the gun ,, all i seen was back on your hand and your shoulder ...!!!!
Just bought one but didn’t have a black rod with it
Great video, really appreciated
how often you cleaning? every 1000 rounds?

Does anybody else have a hard time with the take down tabs, pulling them down?
so simple. thanks
Thanks for the help!!!
Thanks nice video
thanks man !
Should I lube a new Glock?
I always clean mine very lightly before the first shoot. Just a quick barrel clean and the frame parts.
Id just push the brush one way. ( direction of the bullet)

Where did u get that mat
I got one from Amazon
Wish the gun shop people woulda told me I needed a lubricant
Anything made of metal that have moving parts needs lubricant/oil ... not their fault you don't have common sense
Bore snake and shoot thats why I bought a glock !very low maintenance 🔫
It's a guide Rod
lol you bought those masks at just the right time
Rub it out.... lawl
That handgun is not HIV positive. Take your gloves off. I hate seeing that.
