John left one hell of a legacy. He's my personal trainer without me ever having talked too or met him. I've been applying his tips to my workouts and have seen great results so far and i'm always sore the next day. I wish I could thank him for everything he has done to help the bodybuilding community.
Always the best content. I'm a 63 year old lifter moving more to the bodybuilding style now. I still carry a lot of mass at 6'3" 297 and think 2020 I will keep it all hypertrophy work.I really enjoy your videos because you know what you are doing.A lot of people tell me at my age I should lighting up and go easier.I tell them when it's time the good lord will slow me down but not today. Keep up the great work.
Just tried this workout tonight and my triceps are no more. Yet again spot on training tips with great variations on traditional moves. Brilliant, would love to see a chest and back video. Respect mountain dog tou know your stuff
This is an awesome workout, John . Been doing this for the last couple weeks and honestly, my triceps haven't experienced such a crazy pump in a long time. The superset is insane.
Mr. Meadows. I am new to your channel and absolutely believe you are the best coach out there! I'm a retied Marine, all natural former AAU power lifter. 57 years old now, and just recently committed to more body composition training. I look pretty good from a life of squats, bench and deadlift, (and Marine Corps physical fitness), but never had coaching to dial it in on the bodybuilding movements. Every tip you have offered works perfectly. You are a true professor of technique and SAFETY, which I appreciate! Getting in a workout with you is on my bucket list!.. and having some of your wife's veggie soup concoction!!!
What this man got from his own experience is simply can ot be measured with money value . Sad that he is no more but we all must be happy that he gave everything he can until his last breath. We are not gonna see many people like him.
The best superset is the one practiced with free weights (dumbbell, kettlebell), followed by the one practiced with the pulley. More than 45 years of experience speak to you.
I have such sore tri's the pin press was awsome for activation without elbow pain, a great way to get heavy tri work in with out elbow pain.Being 58 years old and a diabetic I have to be carefull with any joint pain.
John. Thanks for the awesome videos. Love seeing the new videos. Never gets old. Keep up the awesome work and I hope you are on a great recovery after your heart scare recently.
I did your Tricep workout today and wow, I got a great pump. Thanks John. Also can use mention what bands you use b/c I wanted to start doing some branded work on my training.
Another great video, and I feel much less silly now seeing you doing rope extensions like that. I have gotten some odd looks at the gym, but I feel it in my triceps big time so let them stare!
natural teacher John, you have taught yourself to push for certain, I am 55 been doing this for a year and a half(midlife crisis lol), dont have ropes or bands just weights. been happy with results, I lost 68 lbs (265 to 197) basically all jogging, l started lifting and went up to 227 but now back to 210 as my diet has gotten better(still can button 32 jeans ), , still a work in progress, been very consistent, loved your video on having fun. my question is when people say 18 or 21 inch arms is that post workout or pre workout?
Hi John, love your channel! Thanks so much for the great info. I too get a little elbow tendon pain when doing skull crushers and tricep extensions, how do you feel about the use of neoprene elbow sleeves?
Doing Shoulders and tries tommorow so Ill do this after OHP and before the rest of delts. Reall want more long head so long head focused day haha plus love the pin presses tried them a long time ago.
The Tricep movement , it worked better for me taking the weight to chest and returning 3/4 way. Your way hit my elbows and takes the tension off the triceps by locking out at the top . By the way John we competed at the North America on many occasions .
john, no one has better training vidoes then you! I just ordered a bunch of supplements from a competitor and i realized why didnt i look into granite? Some guys pimp their product in their videos to much (marc lobliner, dave palumbo). I could be wrong but you dont seem to mention them in your training videos enough? I didnt even know what pre workout, intraworkout etc that you offer and why they may be superior. I did visit granits site today and will get you next time!
I have been doing them last for at least 20 years for that reason. Same here works great no problems with them doing them last and for higher reps. Great video by the way.
Make sure you watch the perfect biceps workout also: th-cam.com/video/MWu7nw0rDIA/w-d-xo.html
mountaindog1 Which out of the biceps and triceps would you say need more isolation work?
How many inches exactly from your chest do u set the pin
I can't believe this kind of information if free. Someone make sure John lives for a thousand years!!
well, its not like john is doing this out of the good of his own heart lol.. youtube pays him. But i get what youre saying
I've grown so much by watching this guy he's great always just good info no bullshit
Unfortunately, that didn't age well. RIP John. You will always be missed! 🙏🏿
He will live 1000 years by making these videos and as long as youtube is still here in 1000 yrs.

@Brandon Foster thanks brother putting in the work.
A lot of that mass is fat tho
I challenge you to try and look like that with primarily "fat" mass, cause spoiler alert: you can't. He's got huge muscles.
Just tried this workout tonight and my triceps are no more. Yet again spot on training tips with great variations on traditional moves. Brilliant, would love to see a chest and back video. Respect mountain dog tou know your stuff
So underrated.. You are dropping so many gems!
:)
Tried this today, superset made the triceps sore within 2 sets. Great stuff John 💪🏻👍🏻
The best body building channel !

LOLOL my gym already only has two ropes. guess i'll have to improvise.

Weight training in general is extremely anti-diabetic though
I like the pin presses. But I think that bands, reverse bands, or chains accomplish the heavy lockout and tri emphasis, but with full ROM.
You are the best John such a motivational guy
A very meaningful video Sir John! Tnx for sharing your knowledge every single time
Close grip pin presses and lying dumbbell extensions may by my new favorite for triceps.
That cage is a pretty good idea for close grips. I go up to 275 and at the bottom it really stretches my elbows.
Arms are lookin hulk. Crazy pump man
YES, I want 21 inch arms! I got 6 inches left to go, so that may take a while! LOL!
haha...1 inch at a time!
@@mountaindog1 That's what she said
Maybe add a little bit of tren or sarms to your diet. It’s a great superfood you’ll be 21 inches in no time
To..Aaron..try hi tech pharmaceuticals pro hormones for some..size..sarms try L 4033 and or yk11..should do the trick
Two ropes at my gym. Hard enough getting your hands on one. To have the use of three...mind blown!
True icon. His legacy lives on
Re watching some of his videos! What an amazing man John was
John I enjoy your oldschool training a lot! And how you put tweaks on it to make it kick your butt thoroughly

looking forward to trying this out! 👍
Hi John, love your channel! Thanks so much for the great info.

cool music. good workout.
Could it be divided into two days like this?
Monday
push 3x8
3x10 extension
Thursday
extension with extensions above the head 3x8
skull smasher 3x10
Good video
Going to gym now
Awesome
I have been doing them last for at least 20 years for that reason. Same here works great no problems with them doing them last and for higher reps. Great video by the way.
Going to try the pin press. Was looking for something heavy for tris to overload them. The light stuff dont work for me.
Sometimes I take those dual ropes and do like a kick backs. That extra extension burns
Careful
With your tendons
Wow, very good!

Good stuff. John are the close grip pins essentially the same thing as the JM Press?
no I am not doing that half skull crusher type of elbow bend on toward the forehead
@@mountaindog1 thanks !
They should retire that one rope attachment lol. Great video man.
🇺🇸 TRAINER. 💪
Im at the station now BUT I know what workout I'm doing tomorrow.
1st exercise is a variation of the press downs but with limited range of motion. Not for me I'm afraid.
Do you hit chest and tries together? Or do you stick to just one muscle group per day?
Perfect nice 💪💪💪💪💪
