Thank you for this video! We are going to Coco de Mer Hotel in two months and can’t wait to be there. It looks even more beautiful on your video than on pictures. Guess you had an amazing stay there!
Can you use the overwater infinity pool if you "only" book a standard room? We really want to stay there but we fear that there´s a two layer society and you are restricted with a standard room
Coco de Mer is a very nice hotel. All the facilities of hotel, open to all guests - room category doesn't matter such. You can go in the infinity pool as a hotel guest...
on praslin island - raffles and constance lemuria are 5 star (usd 1000 a night), this one the best of 4 star (usd 400 a night). there is a relais & chateaux property here with minimum stay requirements off memory, i was transitting between mahe and felicite island, late in and early out so just right for me...
We stayed at this hotel in May and really enjoyed it - preferred it to Kempinski on Mahe which we also stayed at. Looks like they've added some shade on the Coco de Mer pier since then.
You’ve been to bunch of different places. Where’s the most stunning water color? I think Fiji water color is a bit average, seychelles water is more vivid when sun shines. Bora bora has beautiful water colors stripes; it’s clean and light green. I think Maldives and Bora bora water colors are the best.
I agree. The best water colours when there is a lagoon, so water doesn't get deep too quickly. Maldives and Bora Bora the best; some places in Seychelles nice like Felicite Island. Fiji has deep water around the Islands so looks a dark blur...
yah, if one is confident swimming in the open seas looked ok for a swim. seychelles has had one fatal shark attack in the last 10 years, and that was when the guy was like 30m+ out to sea. snorkelling etc within standing depth should be ok...

Is the water at the beach swimmable? Clean, no dangerous sea creatures, etc.?

I swam close to the beach with no problems.
