Not to rain on the parade, but he really didn't have to do much thinking because his devil fruit ability was perfect for this kind of situation. This would have been more of a fee to him being an incredible partner if he didn't have the perfect devil fruit to handle this situation. He didn't even have to be creative here.
Brook has so much utility as a swordsman. I always love seeing him in action.

Brook might not be the strongest swordsman, but he’s definitely the most unique. He’s the only ‘support’ type swordsman that we’ve seen so far. His skills and abilities come in clutch at the best moments rather than him just being a regular attacker swordsman like zoro for example.
What about Law tho
@@dslc i feel like law’s DF is a bit too overpowered on its own to count as only support. What makes law so unique and deadly imo is that he can be incredible offensively and still provide insane support.

Brook's sword style is that of fencing and Iaido mixed together. He can cut you without you realizing that you've been cut only to find out that he cut you after he said it himself.

Brook is the G.O.A.T man survived encounters with opponents many times his strength, managed to last longer than a minute, act badass, and even now till this day he’s been carrying his coldness around. Brooke gives me such whiplash all the time. One minute he is a literal toothpick for most enemies. The next minute he is doing main character looking attacks and saving the day
His powers and skills are extremely situational. He's a decent swordsman but nowhere near the level of Zoro and can't use Haki etc so he can competently deal with fodder but not much more. But his powers being based around souls and also the cold of 'hell' mean that specific situations like Big Mom's soul based fruit or heat and fire attacks are perfect for him. He's one of the most specialised members of the crew
@@rosePetrichorIf Big Mom wasn't so powerful physical strength wise Brook would've been able to solo her during the Whole Cake Island Arc when he took her and Homie squad on by himself. And he pretty much curbstomped her Homie squad with no effort.
