Hi Stefanie. This is the best present perfect class I’ve ever had! I’ll practice with your guide. I love your videos. I’m Brazilian and I’ve never had a class about subjunctive. Here, in Brazil, we have three tenses for subjunctive, indicating past, present, and future. English lessons here cover the equivalent to present, like “what do you want me to do?”. Never have I ever: been in the US; sung before more than 500 people; eaten tacos; lived out of Brazil; fixed broken devices. 😁

However I still have to know about English and I am quit sure I will be fluent at English one day. Thank you because whatever you are doing is not a simple think.
Hi Stephany. We use present perfect to describe something that started in the past and continued up until now, the action doesn’t finish yet or have a connection to the present and actions that happens recently, for example, today, this week, this year. For example, I lived in America for many years. That's means you still live there. I have seen my brother today and I waved to him, but he didn't see me. Connection with the present example: Why Sara is not playing tennis? She has broken her leg. At moment Sara has a broken leg. It doesn’t matter when or where. Thank you, teacher.

This is very simple because in Spanish the usages are the same most of the time. I think Portuguese present perfect is a little harder because the usage is more different. Never have I ever: driven a car Never have I ever: been to Brazil Never have I ever: lived in another country Never have I ever: been drunk And yes. My English has improved a lot since the day I started learning it. Regards from Argentina!
Hi Stefany. Thank you!. I've just read your book (present perfect tense) and is absolutely clear and practical. It helps a lot. In special for me : the common expressions/ daily expressions examples using that tense. Thanks a lot.
Never have I ever been in USA Never have I ever won an award for illustration Never have I ever worked in a big publishing house Never have I ever seen The Exorcist Never have I ever ridden a horse Thank you so much for the explanation! I still struggle with the tenses and mostly with verbs in past participle
A couple of topics come to mind. The first thing that came to mind was "how does the past perfect relate to the present perfect and what makes them so perfect anyway?" :D but perhaps even more foundational is terminology. As one who laments the fact that I did not really pay attention in my English classes, I frequently don't even understand the terms. For example, if I am not to let my participles dangle it would be really helpful to know what a participle is. When I try to talk to someone about designing vacuum tube amplifiers, flying planes, the care and feeding of handguns, and the like I must be careful to bring them up to speed on some terminology for it to make any sense. Language is at least as complex as some of those pursuits. Thanks for your work. It is very much needed at least as much for those of us who are native speakers as for those who are not.

Hi Stephanie, how are you? It's a great video. Would you like to make another video about past perfect? I've been searching it on TH-cam for a long time but I haven't found it yet.
Great video as always!! I have a question regarding this topic. Would you say “I can’t find my keys. Did you see them anywhere?” Or “I can’t find my keys. Have you seen them anywhere?” I’d love to get a reply from you. Many thanks for always putting out great content!
Never have I ever talked to a native Never have I ever flown to America Never have I ever shot with a gun Never have I ever swum in the Pacific ocean Never have I ever ridden a camel
Easy thing to remember: gun isn't, like, your friend. In russian we say "пострелять с ружья/автомата/пистолета", but in English it's a bit different. You shoot a gun, play videogames, date a girl, etc. When you say "I want to shoot with a gun", it sounds weird, as if you want that gun to shoot its own gun too while you are shooting yours. Hope that makes sense. And if you want to learn how to speak English you need to talk to people, it doesn't matter how good or bad you are, really.
As previously said on IG, thank you and especially for the time you've dedicated in making this guide for your student 😄 if there's gonna be a next time (as I strongly hope) I wouldn't mind a focus on all the future forms you English speakers have! Have a nice day 😎
In my opinion Stefanie Is the best online English teacher i have ever watched on youtube so far :) Hope we can enjoy more video from her about grammar :)

Congratulations for your hard work. I can see passion through your eyes and that's why thousand of people has been following you. For next time, please try to make a vide talking about the most hard grammar point which is for me the past perfect continious. Never have I ever been to USA. Never have I ever eaten japanese food. Never have I ever played the piano Never have I ever sung music while having bath Never have I ever traveled by plane.
Stefanie, i have started watching and listening your videos a week. I just trying to remember your voice first and trying to go into the subject what you are actually speaking.
Hi Stefanie, the question that I could not solve is when to use an adjective ending with ing or ed in sentences. I have watched your videos, and I know you are so smart that's why I am asking you. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I'd like also to expres my gratitude to you for this quite useful and well done video lesson. I'm also from that category of people who usually don't leave comments, but .... I've read a lot of information about present perfect but to say the truth it was rather confusing than clear. For me it was too helpful to see the connecting bridge between past and present. And not less interesting was to see how can be formed everyday QUESTIONS using present perfect. If it had been somewhere a list of, let say 50-100 questions like "Has we met before?" etc. it would have been even more easier to use this tense without thinking everytime which tense should I use. Such a list can be printed and read aloud for better memorising. Thank you again. It'll be very helpful to watch a lesson about past perfect. Authors of books use this tense a lot, but sometimes it's hard to say why.
Good video. I teach English to Czechs and have a difficult time because the present perfect tense doesn't exist in their language so they have to learn it from scratch. It is also difficult to explain why "Haven't we met before?", which is a negative construction, is a more positive "opening line" than "Have we met before? " which is a positive construction. Sometimes English can be quite weird!
This is the best teacher that I listened ever she speaks fast and clearly, if you want to improve your english skills espcially listening skills you could listen her
Thanks for this video, its help me a lot for improving my English, I am from Peru living in Colorado Usa. I have enjoyed the connection that you reach with us! Congratulations and thanks again!
Maybe this can be useful for some of the people learning this tense:when I teach Present Perfect, I emphasize learning each verb's past participle; since there are A LOT OF irregular verbs, the task turns out to be quite boring for learners and pretty discouraging. Well, I decided to "teach" them by "blocks" that somehow have something in common so the memorizing process could BE A LOT easier. For example: the O/A+ught group :THink=TH O ught; BRring=BR O ught; Fight=Fought; Buy=Bought; Seek=Sought; CAtch=CAught; TeAch=TAught (they're the 7 verb's of this block and there's no more / notice that the latter 2 are written in past participle with an "A" unlike the other ones - with an O- probably cuz they have it in "present" tense - technically "infinitive", and also called "base form" - ) Another "group" or "block" would be verbs ending with an N//M sound: siNg/saNg/suNg; riNg/raNg/ruNg; swiM/swaM/swuM/;begiN/begaN/begun (there are more verbs in this "block" unlike the first one; notice that they follow a pattern: I - in present tense-, A - in past tense-, U - in past participle - ). To summarize, patterns appear in all those "blocks" but there aren't as many blocks as people might think, so the learning process turns easier and encouraging, so my advice is gather them together in groups from the lists you've been given and you'll learn them in a faster way. Anyhow, I hope this works for all of you as it has worked for me when teaching. Bye & regards from Caracas 😋❤

What an amazing class !!!
You went from a basic lesson, added the most used forms, day-to-day applications, until to an advanced lesson, smooooothly... All in just one video!
Never have I ever seen (hahahaha me using the lesson already), these explanations before.
Keep up the good work
Hi Stephanie, how are you? It's a great video. Would you like to make another video about past perfect? I've been searching it on TH-cam for a long time but I haven't found it yet.
Great video as always!! I have a question regarding this topic. Would you say “I can’t find my keys. Did you see them anywhere?” Or “I can’t find my keys. Have you seen them anywhere?” I’d love to get a reply from you. Many thanks for always putting out great content!
Never have I ever talked to a native
Never have I ever flown to America
Never have I ever shot with a gun
Never have I ever swum in the Pacific ocean
Never have I ever ridden a camel
Семен Добронравов I could help you with number one, but the last four, you're on your own.
@@douglasherr4725 thank you, but I'm not looking for natives to talk with. My level is not high enough. It was just an example)
Thank you very much, Екатерина. Nice to meet a Russian here:)
I have done all 5....although I am a native English speaker who lives near the Pacific Ocean.
Halleluja! finally I could understand what I hadn't learnt during 5 years of course. Brazil here! Thanks!
As previously said on IG, thank you and especially for the time you've dedicated in making this guide for your student 😄 if there's gonna be a next time (as I strongly hope) I wouldn't mind a focus on all the future forms you English speakers have! Have a nice day 😎

Hi Stefanie, the question that I could not solve is when to use an adjective ending with ing or ed in sentences. I have watched your videos, and I know you are so smart that's why I am asking you. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi The English Coach, I did not hear from you.
Authors of books use this tense a lot, but sometimes it's hard to say why.
you've gotten great in english
I love your teaching teacher.especially your pronunciation.
Nice teacher all over you make me confident after I listen to your video
You have no idea about how much I love you. Thanks a lot! Saludos desde República Dominicana.
Coach, you are fantastic. Yours videos are really helping me.
I recently started watching your videos, I found them they're all useful and helpful to me.

You are a wonderful teacher and remarkably intelligent and competent teacher i have learned a lot from you
I have loved your examples, so clear. I need it often. Thank you.
For example: the O/A+ught group :THink=TH O ught; BRring=BR O ught; Fight=Fought; Buy=Bought; Seek=Sought; CAtch=CAught; TeAch=TAught (they're the 7 verb's of this block and there's no more / notice that the latter 2 are written in past participle with an "A" unlike the other ones - with an O- probably cuz they have it in "present" tense
- technically "infinitive", and also called "base form" - )
Another "group" or "block" would be verbs ending with an N//M sound: siNg/saNg/suNg; riNg/raNg/ruNg; swiM/swaM/swuM/;begiN/begaN/begun (there are more verbs in this "block" unlike the first one; notice that they follow a pattern: I - in present tense-, A - in past tense-, U - in past participle - ).
Health and Youth for ever for you, Gorgeous Stephanie ♥🌷🌺🌹🌹🌹🤲👉😍💝💍😍👈😘😘😘😘💯✨😘😍☺😍😘😘😳❤❣️💝💕.
