This is a re-edit (with some bonus material) of a previous video released due to a you tube error and cutting my video short at the end, If you have seen this already then there is no need to comment or watch again really... It's just rectifying what TH-cam messed up. Confusing I know! Thanks, E. R 🍻👍
Having owned a meteor 350 for 3500 miles and swooped it in for the 650 As you say the only let down is the rear shocks! If you adjust the rear by two clicks from the softest it makes a huge difference! Because it doesn’t bottom out! Try it Roger
Thanks Roger, yes I tried that on the 350 but its still not up to minimum standard although I do have a fix for that on the 350 coming up soon : ) Do you miss the lightness and economy of the 350 or are you just happy you moved on?
Hi Exmouth ! I watched this version last night, this time paying particular attention to see if I could spot any posters for the Age Concern Concert ( starring Cliff Richard ) in Sidmouth. I didn't spot any. That gig seems to have been only for those OAPs in the know. Clearly plenty turned up though ! They probably had a Facebook group set up or something. Gridlock mate, gridlock ! Here's hoping that the next time you have to ride through Sidmouth there are no knights of the realm banging out their back catalogue to the blue rinsers. Actually, now that I think about it, It's probably best to just stay in Exmouth mate. Cheers Steve, Garry & Ruby 👍🏻
Yes it took ages to get through the high street. Cliff wasn't there, he was on a summer holiday some where but I dont know if thats true or not. He met a old girl down there once but she was like a devil woman so the saviour day was getting out of there. He has a place in France so you may see him out and about or playing tennis. I dont think I could ever move from Exmouth....whens the next live anyway...come on hurry up slow coach.
@@exeterrider 😂😂😂 You clearly know your Cliff Richard Steve ! The next live show will be whenever I once again have no video to show the world 😝 No, I am contemplating doing one soon, just to give me a week to get ahead with filming, but I need to make sure I can have some time off work during that week, otherwise I won't get any filming done and it will have been a wasted opportunity. I just seem so busy these days, really struggling to keep on top of things, let alone get ahead ! I'll give you due notice if I am planning a live show. It would be great if you could join in for some or all of it mate 👍🏻 As usual, I won't have a plan, it will just be a hangout and 🥃 session. Now I'll let you get back to your "Cliff's Greatest Hits" CD 🎤 Cheers Exmouth Harry from France
I like the shot at the end when you pulled up to the camera front wheel first. Shows what the bike looks in motion pulling up to your friends on the bike. Might want to do that more
Very nice video. I am riding one of these in a couple of days and the weight was something that worried me as well as the turning circle. Your video helped me prepare for this.
I knew I'd seen it before because I recognised the Golden Retriever and owner waiting to cross the car park entrance as you were leaving.🤗 We worth watching again for the bike, your review and the scenery.
But I still laughed when you tried the back seat out and said something like, this could go wrong. Keep it funny. I put my bloopers at the end of each video because of the video that you did with bloopers when you got locked in at that marina.
I get F&C from the farm shop where you did the overtake test. Cars and cuppas at greendale is worth a look if you like petrol. 2 minutes down the lane from mine but people travel from all over.
What I learned off seeing this again. I can not use the same location when filming. When I saw the background at the beginning, my brain said you already saw this place, and as it is a beutiful location, something in my brain was turned off. Not going to over think why, but you can't use that location for six months, and that is sad because it was really nice start of a video. I went right to the video description and saw I didn't need to watch it, but I really like to support you and help with the YT promotion as I have started my channel and learning what helps the creator. I knew it did, but the last 8 weeks, I am a manager type of person and learning what makes a difference for YT to promote. Hope you have a great afternoon and evening
It's always good to shake it up a bit yes for sure, even turning the camera helps and makes it feel different. Although I did use this location in the HD streetbob first ride😉👍
Beautiful bike in the green. Good review, as always ER. I know you have power limits on A2 license riders, but 47hp for highway riding would be limiting performance, when other bikes have much more. Royal Enfield could get more performance from this engine, or boost displacement to 750-850cc. Would like a mid range control option, as the cruiser style limits interest for me. All the best.
I have an INT650 and LOVE it with 37,000 miles/60,000km. The only thing I don't like is the maintenance schedule for the chain is every 1,000km/620miles. I'm a full time traveler and that's a pain. You didn't mention the maintenance schedule for the Super Meteor drive chain is 500km/310miles. To stay with in the maintenance schedule I would have to service the drive chain twice a day some days. For a cruiser it would be nice if it were belt drive. Great review, thank you.
Thanks for stopping by, if I've seen some of your vids👍 I think that is inspection only isn't it, not something you have to take the bike into the dealer for. It's one of those grey area things that they say but in reality common sense needs application. Wonderful machines these 650s, you chose well, and your showing that throse RE engines are tough and will made. Thanks 👍🍻
@@exeterrider Oh yes, I love the engine. With everything I own strapped to my bike at 11,000 feet in the Rockies and it did fine. The only difference was it felt better cruising in 5th gear. Love it! Super Meteor, clean, lubricate, and adjust every 500km or earlier as required. No, you don't have to go to a shop. It's easy to do yourself but messy and time consuming. Using a chain that requires more service for weekend riding that's no big deal. Since these bikes are such great cruisers belt drive would make more sense to me. Thanks for the reply and excellent review.
I watched this video on my kitchen washing up lap top, so it still counts as a proper view even though there were some stubborn stains on my frying pan. I used the metal pad to get them moving, hope I haven't damaged the non stick (which is a lie) coating 👍🤣
😂 pay to get a proper non stick frying pan! Stellar Rocktanium, only needs a dribble of oil. Or put a bit of boiling water in useless frying pan on low heat and lift burnt offering residue off that way. 😂😂😂
@@lilynorthover8378 Thank you so much, I can't afford a BudLight Rocket Tantrum pan, so I'll try the boiling water trick. 👍 I was at my wits end, and I didn't even know that my wit even had an end, so thank you😊
@@BeansOnToast_YT yes I'd stay away from anything BudLight, what's the point of beer if it doesn't blur the edges. Just like, what's the point of chocolate if it doesn't make you fat and the point of coffee if it doesn't wake you up. Your wits cheer me up no end Toastie, if I may call you that.😊
Good to hear it handles well at 70MPH. The top speed limits in the U.S are 80MPH on the interstates in Idaho, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Do you think it would handle 80mph? What is the highest speed limit in the UK?
Has anyone noticed that the front brake line running down past the yoke passes through a metal holder, which has no rubber bush, meaning that the brake line rubs up and down on the metal, this was shown to me by a friend who has exactly this bike, seems like a design fault to me, which has the potential to cut the front brake line, or at least cause damage over time 😮
@@exeterrider my friend has raised it with the dealer to pass on to RE, obviously due to the movement of the forks the brake line rubs up and down in this little steel tube, he's actually greased the whole thing to relieve friction between the two, I sincerely hope royal enfield take ownership of the issue 👍🏻
Cruisers and forward controls are not my bag. It doesn't stop me thinking Enfield have done a great job of using the twin engine in a relaxed cruiser machine. I'm glad companies are still offering reasonable priced bikes in an era where bikes are heading over £20K. Sorry to hear of your TH-cam reupload woes.
Exactly, good enough bike, fair price. Serious issues going to 4k processing then it cut the last bit off the end! Right mess, thing is the other video has 400 likes and 12k views but it's not the proper version. Ohh well one can only do ones best. 👍
