I’d never seen leather corners. Great idea for cabs without Tolex, especially since leather looks so much better with a wood finish compared to metal.

great video. I've never really noticed the corners of a Mesa amp before, and now I wish I had; that's because I have an old Magnatone which should've had the same corners. I'm in the process of restoring it but haven't found much luck on finding info on them. Had I known sooner that Mesa uses similar corner pieces I would've checked out their website and resources. This vid made my day.

Helpful video. About to put tan corners on a black MB cabinet and was wondering how to approach this. The water soak is key! Thanks ✌️

Nice Mesa styled cabinets. I’ve been thinking of making one. I have one all the same dims in pine with brown stain, oxblood grill cloth and a well worn v30 speaker. Everyone I’ve played with says it sounds awesome. But I think I want to tolex it and change to black grill cloth.

Where did you get that grill cloth you used on the cab? Looks great!

Why did you use the drill? cant you just use the hammer?

I drilled the hole first to keep the wood from splitting. It might be fine to just hammer them in but I didn’t want to risk it because I was using thick nails instead of smaller tacks

Curious, my amp head came without corners, it’s a PRS Archon. I was wondering if I fo this would it void my warranty? I’m not modifying the amp itself doing this but just the cabinet so I’m curious.

Why not just use black screws so that the leather corners can be replaced much easier
