The least Shiv Sena should have done is not form coalition with NCP and Congress if not with BJP. There could have been elections again immediately and SS could have fought independently. People of Maharashtra felt betrayed when SS went against the people's mandate.

I disagree with Kushal, Shivsena has done more bad that good for mumbai. See the amount of corruption they have done in BMC. The level of services mumbai has as compared to other financial capitals around the world. In summer we are halpless because of heat , in monsoon mumbai drowns in even a small amount of rain. Roads are dug up every now and then. Traffic everywhere, illigal slums everywhere, no proper water supply . List is endless. For a city like mumbai in 21st century this is not acceptable. I admire Balasaheb because he protected us from ismalists in Mumbai, thats the only reason i used to like shivsena

This is what happens in dynasty politics. The father forms the party and leads it to its glory along with those hard working workers. Then at the end of the day, the son comes and tries to demand power leading to factions. This was bound to happen. Infosys, Samajwadi Party, Congress, and now Shiv Sena.
Dynastic politics must end and Democratic political parties like BJP and RSS must reign.
Shiv Sena was not most loyal ally of BJP. SS always demanded more than what they commanded.. in 2014 election they offered less tickets to BJP, BJP rejected the offer, broke the alliance, won more seats than what SS offered before election..
The seats they got in 2014 was also because of modi wave
BJP is failing in setting up leaders in Bihar, Odisha, WB, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, the entire eastern belt lacks a strong BJP leader.
Meanwhile Tamil nadu , Kerala , Telangana and Andhra Pradesh sees No BJP flags till now..

Neither jharkhand and and Orissa needs it now coz they have good leaders and more literacy(south) but WB needs presidential rule or a more pro-rss cm and I personally say it as a residing in Kolkata! And I fear that WB will become the next Kashmir(if bjp rules for next some terms in centre but not in WB) or disintegrate if congress comes in center. Because Mamta is a poisonous snake a worse cm than the cpim had.
Unfortunately high quality political leaders cannot be spawned out of thin air. I am not familiar with politics of these states but the way things work, we may not see good leadership coming out of these states in the foreseeable future.

As a maharashtrian, I hate this part, it might be fun and all for all. But it’s truely distressing.
1) blatant misuse of authority, they are filing 20 FIRs for a comment
2) overall degrading public consciousness, Marathi general public is so biased and casteist, whatever party they support it’s all based on caste.
3) economic loss since MVA is immense. They anyways force on western Maharashtra only. Rest of my beautiful state is always ignored.

Cities like Pune and Mumbai have been prosperous for hundreds of years.
Moreover, water is abundant here, unlike in Vidarbha, khandesh and Marathwada.
Coastal part will always be more prosperous than hinterlands. This is the same case with Karnataka, Gujarat, or in the US.
Unlike Vidarbha and Marathwada, there's no anushesh or package for the Western Maharashtra.

Vidarbha is much more resource rich than rest of the state. First learn something before you comment. And Konkan has abundance, yet it’s ignored too.

There is a difference between rainfall and water abundance. I have a farmhouse in Navja, Koyana Nagar in Satara. It receives 6000 mm rainfall every year. Three years ago, it was the wettest place in the world (yes, wetter than Cherapunji and Mawsynram). Sadly, each summer there is a draught here. Because the land can't hold water due to laterite stone and sharp slopes. You will be surprised to know that Cherapunji suffers from draughts, despite being the wettest place.
The geography and besault structure makes it possible to harvest the rainfall in the western Maharashtra. Konkan, even after receiving so much rain, faces water issues in summer and people rely on wells.
Look at Jayakvadi and Ujani dams. Despite their capacity of 120+ tmc, they barely manage to fill the reservoir and face draughts each year.
Gadchiroli and east Vidarbha may receive more rainfall than Pune, but the irrigation and damming facilities aren't sufficient. Add to that, naxal issues, dalit population of 25%, etc and you have a perfect recipe for failure.
I have been watching this show for some time and it has been a laugh riot all the way. For me it is like hanging out with friends group in mid 80s, 90s Indian street discussing politics and movies with colourful comments flying in no holds barred way😄. What is even more refreshing is how they make instant memes out of every notable event or any popular utterances, quotes, satires etc from movies, shows or social media ( eg: today's casual roasting of Simi Garewal's cringe worthy style,oozing fluff, 'sed life' ) that appeals to nearly all non-Left Indian ( resident or NRI) that passionately follows Indic Renaissance, Intl events from Indian perspective, politics and culture. This is possible only for really well read geeks that are equally capable of delivering to a guy on the street complete with expletives in a friendly manner.

As a maharashtria Shiv Sena has been a curse for Mumbai infrastructure projects. I can understand why they oppose bullet train it's true that Maharashtra will not gain anything though the country will. It's not only about the whole mumbai metro line 3 which has been delayed because Uddav thakrey, NGO, environmentalist want to save some 3000 trees. The irony is if MML3 was completed on time than that will reduce significantly cut down carbon emissions whatever damge has been done in construction will be recovered in no time. Anyways hoping that BJP comes soon and starts construction of all slowed down metro lines.

I was kattar Shiv Sena supporter since Balasaheb time till 2019 but never expected Sena will shake hands with Congress or MIM. BJP might be arranging hotels and flights for Shinde and co. But all leadership is done by Shinde, real Shiv Sainik know how close Eknath Shinde was to Balasaheb and Dharmveer Dighe. There are some intellects saying BJP is buying MLAs and some bhakts think this is "masterstroke" of Amit Shah but no one is appreciating Eknath Shinde for following his original ideology.

It was really silly of AIM to ask why if BJP is agreeable to play second fiddle in Bihar, why not in Maharashtra?
The Maharashtra events of shiv sena breaking up and aligning with Congress and NCP happened first. It was after this breakup that the BJP probably decided against rocking it's alliance with Nitish upfront and allowed him to be CM.

Abhijit, you are wrong. BJP fought Bihar by announcing Nitish as the CM candidate whereas SS rode on the wave of Modi & BJP. Plus, SS is corrupt. Nitish is no less corrupt but my guess is they did not have a great leader from Bihar but Phadnavis was actually a good administrator. Whereas SS were bullies.
