This was amazingly helpful thank you so much. For a hafla next month I was choreographing a veil dance to a song that was really meaningful to me, while I also wanted to take my skills up a notch. This video really helped me finish choreographing it and work on the moves that we were working on in class. Thank you sooo much!
You are so wonderful and I want to thank you for posting. Many dancers are not familiar with the variety of moves you are demonstrating and you are great at the clearness of your demonstrations. I have been dancing for many years and I learned from you moves I never learned. Now I will begin teaching what you have given me. Thank you again.
An excellent teaching aid well thought out and executed. This is exactly what the dance community should be all about - sharing skills and knowledge. Thank you.
I have watched you over and over again...learning so much!!! Your enlightened with your movements tis a pure joy attempting doing what your showing us. I love how you categorize each more, wish there were little stop marks for each one...I never can find the ones I need to practice alittle more....forever I know...but I am so grateful for you taking time out of your life to give to us free. I truly appreciate this!!
thanks for sharing this, there is always something in this beautiful dance to learn. I have studied this for five years and this help me a lot. besides very easy to understand. Personally i think the veil is one of the most difficult elements to master. One thing is to do a couple of figures, other is to flow gracefully with it, improvising, doing a complet song, not doing always the same.
I just shared this with my group of brand new students. We'll be learning veil steps in more detail in class, but this is such a great reference for them to practice to on their own time- and a good tool for choreography. Thank you so much for sharing. I love your format, you get to the point without trying to break every little thing down
Very beautiful veil moves. Pink veil is really exquisite - love your studio space and music - especially beginning and ending pieces. This video inspires me. Thank you for uploading.
I appreciate the comments and from everyone, thank you so much. It is encouraging and only makes me want to do more! I would love to do another of these. I am asking for feedback before I do. The quality will be cleaner (my camera is better now). Do you like how the moves are broken up? Is this video too long, too short? Is doing the move from every angle helpful or does it take too long? Do you want more individual moves, travel steps, combos, transitions, not sure? Thank you!
Ayperidance Maybe if you can break them up individually and add the variations into one video. Example the airplane- do both in one video. It would help if you re-recorded the movements with a better quality cam. That way in case I need a quick reference, I don't need to scan through the whole video to find it :) thank you
Thanks! I finally found a video on how to do a move I’ve always wanted to learn. The Tulip😊 beyond that I can refer to your video for other veil movements I can use for a Mejance or veil dance.
thank you, I am not new to dancing with a veil, but this video contained quite a few figures and moves I had not yet even seen others do. It already inspired me for a choreography I am going to teach in the summer :) Thank you
Wow, I loved this and thought is was great. Some of those were new to me. I love his it moved from one right into another with sift music. Love that first song too. Great job!
Very nice veil work and beautiful posture too. Would have like to know how to do the wrap of yourself/costume at the end. (I forget what it’s called, but to wear as a cover-up)
Really superb so much very energetic dance act and unbelievable so much very nice body language performance and good coreography and the God bless you forever with all good wishes.
Amei!
Hi there, thank you so much! The music I used is listed below. Song 1 - E Muzeki, by Sindh, "Traditional Gaelic" Song 2 - FireDance, by Brian Keane & Omar Faruk Tekbilek, "Ask" Song 3 - The Magic Veil, Anatolian Kanoun, "The Magic Veil"
Your performance is highly sensitive. I love this. In the beginning I thought it would be boring - but then quickly I understood what you are doing. I dropped here by mistake ;-) Btw, I own the 2nd song!

Beautiful moves and not to hard to follow .I still need a lot of practice but with your veil instructions makes it a little easier . Thank you..
I like how you do the move with every angle because it shows how pretty the veil could look to different views of the audience.
Well done! You gave perfect demonstration of each move from all directions. Great job.
This was beautiful and I have learned alot in just 13 mins! I think I prefer the veil to just hip work :)
