- To be able to get married in the Philippines you would need to apply first for a marriage license. you won’t be allowed to have a church or civil wedding without this.
Here are some list of the requirements to get you started as well as the process.

depende po sa kasal na gusto nyo saka sa availability po ng simbahan.. kung mahuhuha nyo yung date na gusto nyo, saka need nyo pa antayin yung marriage license na need nyo applyan sa munisipyo... may seminar po yun, tapos ang simbahan may ibang seminar din...so i think 3 weeks is not enough...

yup.... glad it help =) .. you can always ask your municipality naman for the list of requirements you need and your partner para makapag apply for marriage license.
Is it best that the filipina first goes Municipal/city hall and asks all the requirements, because that is where the process starts? They surely know what to do, am I right?
I know how to get my papers in Europe. I think I need to approve them then in Manila embassy. But the next step after that is to go to Municipal/city hall with all our papers, am I right? So thinking... that best to ask the requirements now beforehand from the Municipal/city hall , right?

Long term visa yan..Make sure that your marriage is registered here in Spain. And yung marriage cert na galing dyan sa pinas is naka appostille when you pass sa embassy.

church wedding kami.. we were able to process all the requirements for just a month..depende kung gano kabilis ung kukuhanan nyo ng mga documents... it's best to at least give 2 months preparation.

Apply for a marriage license sa municipality kung san ka register, Here are the requirements for both parties to be able to apply for a marrige license.
FILIPINA REQUIREMENTS (( All should be original copy))
cenomar (certificate if no marrige)
PSA birth certificate (photocopy and original)
cedula (community tax certificate)
Notarized affidavit of parental consent or advice for applicants below 25 years old.
EUROPEAN requirements
birth certificate
passport
legal capacity to marry issued by the Consular Office/Embassy of the foreigner’s country.
Both need to attend a ceminar about pre-marital counseling, family planning and responsible parenthood. If your under age (18 years and below) there would be additional ceminars that you would need to attend
If you would like to have a church wedding, you will have another ceminar to attend which will be held by the church. Be sure to check the schedules as some are conducted daily while others have a specific schedule within the week.
Note: You won’t be issued a marriage license until you pass all the documentary requirements-including this Certificate of Attendance. Couples are required by law to attend the seminar. In fact, bypassing the pre-marriage seminar is grounds for annulment.

requirements and process will depend per county.. you can ask your partner to check sa municipality nila.. for filipino requirements will probably be the same..ang iba lang is, for all your documents to be legal to use sa europe, need mo i pa authorized sa DFA... Blue ribon dati, now they have APOSTILLE.

@@raynedee9728 you need to have all your documents, such as CENOMAR, Birth certificate and NBI na ma pa autenticate sa DFA to be valid to use sa ibang bansa especially if you plan on getting married sa Europe.. ang tawag sa autentication made by DFA is APOSTILLE dati syang red ribbon kung tawagin... bago lng ung Apostille... mabilis lang naman kumuha nung.. may 1 day process or normal process, basta punta ka lang sa Dfa with your documents.

For the Legal capacity to marry if andyan sya sa pinas sa Romanian Embassy sya magrerequest nun, better to have him call the embassy para sa mga requirement na need nya para bigyan sya nun..... For the birthcert, ung sa husband ko kasi hindi na ni require na ipa translate pero original ung dala namin... depende sa municipality or church san kayo kakasal... para sure pwede din naman pa translate nyo na din basta make sure meron kayo dala original..
