That's one thing missing in my life. Having a judge deciding my life.
Yup, definitely something I do not have on my bucket list.
I know that is screwed up money trap. They ask if you get her a ring. They ask if you visit with her family very many things that is really none of their business but they have a big nose they claim it is about the safety of the woman but it is about the money for the Philippine government.
Heidi is so articulate. She talks fluent English, direct and precise on the subject.
One of the most important documents she didn't mention is your gf will need to get a CENOMAR to ensure she isn't married as well. The Legal Capacity to Marry document for an American to marry you get from the U.S. Embassy. The fee is $50 USD or whatever the current pesos to USD rate is. At times, the U.S. Embassy will have quarterly outreaches to places like Cebu City, Angeles City and the Subic Bay area (SBMA). My wife and I got married in Olongapo City after attending an outreach to get the Legal Capacity to Marry (I am not sure of the actual name of the form). Also, one misconception foreigners have is that they think once they are married, they can get a visa and hop on the plane to the good old USA. NOPE......Doesn't work that way. Guys, guys, guys, make sure you get a CENOMAR. In my case, we went to the Olongapo City Hall, they gave us a package to complete (very easy) to follow. Once you submit the package, you will be issued a Marriage License on the 10th day. We will be celebrating our 10th Anniversity on February 14th, 2024.
Curtisake7431, you are the monster, I haven't been able to get a straight answer until I read your mark here. Ms Heidi is the Cats Meow. ❤❤❤
She said “Certificate on No Marriage”. What do you mean?
She said though...certificate of no marriage
CErtificate of NO MARriage.......CENOMAR in short...... The lady referred to it in full so as people would know what she was talking about.

Hi Sir, I'm always watching expats blogger experience in the Philippines 🇵🇭. I'm so proud of the Philippines, especially when you talked about the beautiful places and tradition/culture of our country. Thanks for a wonderful video. I'm looking forward to more. Enjoy your stay. 😊
A retired USA school teacher in Medellin, Colombia introduced me to two svelte, fit, vetted girlfriends in 2021 in Medellin, Colombia. Ages 40 & 33. I’m age 80, occasionally date one or the other to share joy, happiness and love on adventures in Colombia. I swim every day in some of the 10 pools at the Estadio Olympica Complex and do Zumba on Sunday mornings. My Airbnb cost $12 USD per night at 6 minute walk to the Olympica Complex. I haven’t yet found dental prophy cleaning as good as Green Apple (Ayala & Lapu Lapu). Medellín is a 3 hour flight from Miami.
Great info! Obviously her accent she lived in the US or raised by at least 1 US parent.
You need to know this before getting married in the Philippines.
Don’t
I'm in Angeles Phillipines
Don't fall in love with a bar girl
I have fell in love with a lot of them. For about 30 minutes 😂
But I want to marry a bar girl, I'm an expat 74 years old I met a bar girl she's 24 years old I'm gonna buy her out of the bar and marry her.
@@eddieBoxer good luck Eddie. I wanted same thing. There are a few success storys.....but mostly crash and burn. Great girl good heart.....bar girls are like a nice rental car. Fun to have but you have to turn it in....and next day you will see someone else driving it

Talk abt investment visa/setup of company and if tht will allow the purchase of land etc like the condo options in next vid....thks

Took me a while to get my head around this (before watching this) but once it clicks it's quite simple
Great video
You both are a cute couple I wish you both many years of great marriage.
Plaid Chad gettin’ the info..
I will be contacting you in a month or so, many topics for you to help me with. Just getting my ducks in a row here, then on my way
What documentation that says I am single? How do I get that?
good question
In the UK you need to be legally married for 2 year's + b4 you can apply for divorce and prove the Marriage has completely broken down and has no hope of saving said Marriage
That’s my late husband does before we get Married last 2018! He has to
Make sure that he had all of those documents already then apply marriage license from city were I reside
I have one question and one question only . Is all of paperwork I have bring from America does it have to be apostled ? and how long does the apostle last?
Recognition of foriegn divorce took 1 year and 2k us dollar plus 5k pesos every court hearing . Took 1 year to get it done in the PSA
And here's what the minister said to me at start of my 2006 wedding at Sitio Lucia Resort, Bulacan Philippines....
"Sir, before we begin may I remind you that this is not the United States, and here in the Philippines Sir, there is no divorce. Do I make myself clear before we begin?"
Got it Sir ha
Could write a book on this subject

I'm not getting married, I worked too hard for my pension I'm not gonna feed her family, she better work if not I'm taking a dumb Lady.
Interesting, not mentioned new divorce law in Philippines?
Biblical marriage is best. Forget about the license, cenomar, priest or Mayor.
Good afternoon sir chad i am new here and like the way you are exploring here in the Philippines. Looking for a soulmate 😁, from Dumaguete. God bless.
Do I need a legal capacity to marry paper from the United States to take with me to the Philippines or do I get that in the Philippines from the consulate in Cebu ?
Wonder why the 13A is probationary for one year?
I have a permanent resident card, but every year there it needs renewed
Maybe Heidi can inform the government of the Philippines exactly how this marriage approval stuff is supposed to work--they seemed to be very confused about it. Watch the video from Gio in the Philippines and Old Dog Paul for all the issues that came up causing delay after delay for getting married in the Philippines & getting all the documentation.
The government doesn’t want us here; hence, we have no rights. I propose that one day a week we spend on nothing, then 2 days…7 days .. onto 30 days and start the process over and until we get their attention. This includes Walking Street and such places😊
The government needs more documents from expats because some of you are still married in your respective countries. LOL Do you think you can just visit a country, find a woman to marry, and claim that you’re single with no proof?
Hi. I just want to ask so during the probationary period of 13A Visa, so they have to stay in the Philippines for the whole 1 year during the probationary? What if we want to go on a trip outside the Philippines, would that affect the 13A Visa? Thank you. Very informative video.
Chad, the U.S. has a lot of influence over the Philippines and Filipinos, and the people love American culture more than any other cultures outside of their own.
Yeah, because PH was a US colony and they were brainwashed into thinking that the warmonger US is the best country in the world (not to mention chasing the US citizens for their money, not for their 'love').
Hi Chad. Very useful information. So the 13A Visa needs to be renewed each 5 years? How much does the visa cost? Just a one-time fee for the 5 years? Thanks!
Hey there sorry for the delay, going to answer this soon I'm actually meeting with her today doing another interview to answer a bunch of these questions
@@ChadFosterExplores Thanks! Hey Chad, fellow Canadian here, where are you these days?? Still in or around Dumaguete?
@@ShikokuFoodForest heading there soon! Are you still planning your trip to the Philippines?
@@ChadFosterExplores I wasn’t sure if you remembered me. But happy if you do. Yes, I’m working on my plan to move to the PHs from here in Kochi, Japan each night! I got delayed a few months because I had to focus on other priorities for a while. Then there was a long New Year holiday period here that ended this week. I’m in the process of meeting with realtors to get my house on the market to sell. Actually, I’ve started looking for land ideally to rent initially with the intention of purchasing in the future in Negros Oriental in Bacong, Dauin or farther south, perhaps in the mountains. If you hear of anyone selling, please let me know. I’m also researching to build a simple, minimalist native bamboo house. Got lots of details to work out. I’m hoping to make the move by this summer if all goes well.
@@ShikokuFoodForest oh yes of course I remember you from previous comments I appreciate you following the channel , the video I recorded today we talked about foreigners investing here and the limitations with buying land versus a condo etc. Heidi knows thisstuff quite well, you could always reach out to her for a free consultation… Otherwise Stay tuned for the video coming soon! Good luck with selling your house and working on your plan to come here in the summer!
What if i don't have a birth certificate? Can i use my US passport? I've used that in the US in place of birth certificates. How long does the process of getting married take. Because as foreigners we don't have a lot of time when coming to the Philippines
If you get divorced in Phillipines is it 50/50 split even if you have money in the USA?
Why not try coming to Iloilo
So I have a question and I want to know once somebody gets a license to get married they have to be married by someone like you said a mayor or a preacher or a judge or whoever that is is that true if you just get the paper you're not married do you still have to be married by someone right
One of the main reasons for divorce in the US is money related. At what point do you disclose and discuss personal finances with a Filipina? Obviously, it should be discussed after developing some level of trust - but what if the level of offset is overwelming? During a prenup?
That's actually a good question. Cuz for a foreigner he has to be cautious discussing $$ with any Filipina. I'm heading to the Philippines and when I meet women there I want to know they're interested in me and not just my $$. Also to avoid scammers. So I imagine that u discuss finances with her when u feel u can trust her and you're considering marriage. Probably differ per relationship. And I think it's a good idea to then discuss a prenuptial before u go any further. To me, a prenuptial protects me so I know I'm not just being targeted for $, and if the Filipina I'm with intends to keep her vow then it should be fine.
Is she from the US?
Sounds like a native English speaker!
So if I divorce a filipina in US even though we were married and lived in the Philippines does she get half my money and properties?
It's sad that some filipinas don't know anything about love Love isn't selfish.
Heidi is very beautiful and presents herself very well. I wonder if she could help me out to marry her. Such a great lady.
What if you don't have a birth certificate? What if your country of birth is different from your country of nationality? What if you have multiple nationalities?
No divorce, good luck getting an annulment. Any property you buy belongs to her. Unless you buy a condo. If you break up, spousal support is mandatory. Until your marriage is annulled. If you break up. And you fall in love and shack up. She can have both of you arrested l. Good luck
CFO will f up all your plans. I speak from experience The last thing before she is allowed to leave country even if she has visa. And the thing no one tells you about
It’s kind of funny I have the requirements for marriage from city health in Cebu city and the certificate of eligibility to marrie . is issued by the foreigners, diplomatic official in the Philippines like at the consulate in Cebu You can’t get one of those in the United States. They don’t keep statistics of that.
Step 1. See a psychiatrist. Seriously. It's a small investment to get an opinion on your mental health. There is no rational reason to get married for the partner who's bringing assets to the deal. The psychiatrist hopefully will look into if you're trying to buy love. That's regardless of whether your Filipina loves you or not. Even if your Filipina completely loves you and will stay with you forever if your brain thinks you need to buy her love it's going to cause problems down the road.
You can get your Legal Capacity to Marry at the Embassy? Just wondering if you need to get in US or can get in Philippines?
In the Philippines, United States does not keep the statistics and will not verify for you
She mentioned it's legal for the foreigner to get a divorce from their Filipina from within their home country. Does this mean that both the foreigner and the Filipina had to be married/ and or live in the foreigner's home country? Or can a foreigner obtain a divorce from their Filipina even though they were married in the Phillipines, and still live in the Phillipines?
But after the divorce in the west, is the Filipina divorced in the Philippines now?
Apparently Yes.
No!!!!
No.
But does she still get rewarded with cash and prizes when you or the wife from the Philippines divorces in the USA?
Hi, that really depends on your divorce settlement and pre-nup if you have any
The USA Govt does not provide a legal capacity to marry. So I heard you have to see a filipino lawyer to draw up a document
Yeah, I heard you can use a Filipino lawyer because of the pandemic but I heard this information a year ago so take it with a grain of salt
I have the paper from the Sabu city health office and it says you have to use foreigners, diplomatic official in the Philippines embassy or the consulate probably
So this permanant 13A visa that you jave to renew every 5 years doesn't sound permanant. I have also heard the wife can basicly cancel it at any time. Is that real? And if you are able to visit other countries does that mean the Filipina can leave too? Hear how it can be very difficult to get permission for the woman to leave the Philippines. Merry Christmas. God Bless.
She will not be able to visit the USA until her husband files for a Spousal Visa. As with everything, there is a long process period. As you so eloquently stated, "Merry Christmas. God bless."
Wait so if I’m divorced in the US but technically still married in Mexico to the same person I’m divorced with, they can see that in the Philippines? Ugh I don’t have time to go to México and do all that first!😩😩😩 I just thought I needed to prove my divorce in my home country. I have so many regrets!😣😣
I was never married in México, it was just also officiated there for our daughters dual citizenship purposes…😩😩
You married a Family Clan........
Would a Single Status Affidavit or a A Certificate of Non-Impediment work? Such as,

Certificate of No Record - Marriage
Affidavit of Single Status
Affidavit of Marriageability
Certificate of No Public Record

prove of being single??? how?
Hi, if you were married before your Divorce documents, you also need to acquire a Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage notarized by the US Embassy in the Philippines and a CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage) from the Philippine Statistics Authority 😊
Thank you
Bullshit..my exhusband, married a Phillippino 20 years ago while married to me ....he was a waste of fucking fresh sir
There is no advantage to get married here..... stay single
would a divorce decree,be proof your single ? what and where do i get a legal capacity to contract marriage ?? I dont want to make a trip back home just for a document,,
This is what I want to know--where in my country (America) am I able to get a "legal capacity to marry" document? I've never heard of such a thing here in America.
@@napoleonmdusa8877 you don't get it in the USA. You have to get it at the U.S. Embassy Manila. Periodically, the U.S. Embassy will have outreaches to places like Cebu City, Angeles City and Olongapo City at SBMA. I went through this in 2014. The fee (at least in 2014) was $50 USD or pesos to USD rate at the time. The Consular Officer will notarize it on the spot. Also, a must. Your gf has to have a CENOMAR to prove she isn't already married. Very important to do. Guys, believe it or not, your sweet little honey-co will married at times when all along the many months and or years your "faithful" gf been telling you she isn't married, so therefore you have been sending money. I have seen it. Fortunately never experienced it.
A lot of Filipino couples have lived as husband and wife without a government slave contract for centuries. And who cares about a 13a visa...it protects you against absolutely nothing!!! If anything, simply have a nice ceremony with video and photos, but skip the BS legal documents crap. That piece of paper has never prevented the physical separation of couples. There are millions upon millions of separated yet legally married Filipina mothers there suffering in loneliness.
DO NOT GET MARRIED!!!
Especially in the Philippines!!!
