Don't let Dustin know Masa is cheating on him.
😂
LMAO, I came to say the same thing. Masa is such a good dude.
Masa is for the JDM streets😂
Dont tell me they shared Air bnb lol
Does Dustin also sell cars at that place? This masa guy seems like a nice guy
The GRMN is truly a rare gem. However, even the standard GR Yaris is shaping up to be a future classic and is probably one of the most underrated cars globally at the moment. I own a 2023 GR Yaris (non-GRMN) and it's an unexpectedly fast car. Despite what the specs suggest, it outperforms expectations. Toyota's claimed 0-60 time of about 5.5 seconds seems conservative; the car feels quicker, even faster than my E46 M3. Its nimbleness and razor-sharp handling are standout features. It's the most fun and engaging car I've driven in the last 20 years, and that's coming from someone who's experienced BMW M cars like the E36 M3 and E46 M3.
Yeah same here. I've driven and owned a stack of performance cars and cannot believe how well the Yaris stacks up. I have mates with GT3RS's, Lambos, Ferraris, McLarens etc etc and this little nugget cannot be shaken off them. The car is astonishing in its grip. I imported and fitted the GRMN Recaro drivers seat, wheel and shifter knob. Totally transforms the driving experience. Awesome car. If I could get my hands on a GRMN I'd take it in a heartbeat.
It's 0-100kmh 5.5 seconds, and you need to shift into 3rd at 97-98kmh, so it is definitely a faster car than the numbers make it look like. Also, hitting that 5.5 number isn't hard, you can definitely do 0-100kmh faster than that if the conditions are right. 0-60mph should be doable sub 5 seconds.
@@darrenprior6339 How are those GRMN recaros? Would they work for a daily, or are they too uncomfortable?
Masa - The Man, The Myth, The Legend 😎 Another great video from Larry
Masa is such an awesome guy and his car is sick 🔥
Half tempted to buy something from Top Rank just to meet Masa 😂
Debt is worth meeting Masa!
Buy a Top Rank keychain haha
@@user-cl5ru4ng3y or an R34 GT-R.
Masa has to be the person I want to meet when I go to Japan. He is so nice.
bayside blue and white wheels looks so good
Masa is the man!
Masa is the go to guy in Japan!
Larry don't stop what you're doing. Big love from the UK
Masa is so happy all the time! cool video!
The GRMN is such a nice car. Masa is a lucky guy and totally deserves it.
That body kit is the GR aero package for the GR Yaris. So you can buy any GR Yaris (yes including the 1.5L CVT RS) spec'd with it. That entire kit costs about 352,000yen plus about 20,000+yen for installation. Its 1/3rd the price of that dry carbon wing :) Heck...even the GR cold air intake pipe (about 5 inches of plastic) is 33,000yen :/
The GRMN engine has more torque (390Nm vs stock 370Nm). The first phase of the UPGRADE Selection and Personalization was offered to GR Yaris owners (got it done my GR Yaris). It included a software upgrade that bumped the torque up to 390Nm (same as GRMN) and personalized the throttle, steering and torque split. The Personalization was done in two ways...you could either go to a track day where they monitor your driving and dial in the car or select preset settings from GR Garage. What Masa described is some of the next phase of the program (which GR garages offer in a pseudo way already)
Masa is the best
MASA !!!
Followed Top Rank JP! Crazy how many Skylines are there!
I own a GR Corolla and I am still sooooo jealous of that GRMN Yaris! I wanted the tiny car! I got the biggest widest GR they have instead!!!
That Yellow RX-7 stole my soul !
Expensive kit too
That gr mn is amazing
Awesome video! That showroom at the shop sounds like it will be a must see!
I want that black soarer they don’t get much love.
Agreed underrated
@@CDN296 hope the tax don’t go up on them since now they’re eligible for import
99 spec
The video didn’t mention but GRMN also has different final drive and gear ratios. I guess you can build your own replica but Toyota doesn’t sell the carbon roof and recaro passenger seat (only driver seat is currently for sale). And the extra spot welds will be costly to do. GRMN owners are very lucky
Good stuff man. Thank you
Its Masa!!
One of my favorite Toyotas ever... dream spec & cool owner!
Man I really amazed seeing that storaged R34s 🤩
The Yaris stole the show. ✌🏽
At first i was like, theirs no way the GT-R can top the GRMN Yaris but dang. That is a beautiful GT-R Larry congrats! Starting off the new year right
Masa is a good dude!! GR is too cool! Signed 1320 jacket!! Auto salon brings all types together

Perfect taxi
He forgot or does not no but also difference is in lsd and in gear ratios.
JDM MASA!
Ayy Masa!
I want a gr Yaris so bad, I bought a 2007 Yaris hatch back here in the US. I don’t want a 4 door Corolla
When in japan is it possible just to drive there and just gaze at the cars there (TopRank)?
This is what I was hoping for the morizo
Damn I miss driving through Japan. Need to go back one day and having a sweet ride like one of those to tour around in would be epic. Thoughts and prayers to those in Ishikawa and other prefectures devastated by the earthquake.
よくこんなに集めたな凄い
This video literall yhas everything I love about cars in it.
Lol the what is the toyota 86 for then
Masa no, what will Dut think 😂
Duts gtr next to the yellow evo outside
Did Masa works for Topranks?
Amen.
Nice! I wonder if this is Masas only car and if he drives this on daily basis 🤔
He said he has an R34 in this video
@@ramonbriones4487 this R34 GT-R he meant belongs to his dad! It is also a bayside blue one like Larrys car.
It was an American named Jim Moran who helped Toyoda boost sales of his small Japanese vehicles.
Toyoda wanted to meet this man in north America that was generating so much sales and making his vehicles so popular. After meeting Mr. Jim Moran Toyoda sales sky rocketed and within 2 years Jim Moran was the one who gave Mr.Toyoda the idea for a more luxurious line of vehicles and so was born the Lexus line. To know it was an American hard working man who helped make Toyota what it is today and not be able to sell this vehicle in the United States and every other Toyota sold in the United States is made different feels unfair.
I worked for JM Lexus in Margate Fl and knew Jim Moran he was such an accomplished gentleman may he rest in peace.
Masa is for the JDM street
I have an A052's on my hatch
0' noise on the road lol
semi slicks noisy thats right ad08-09's..
car nerds are the best nerds
Neat :)
Hi Masa 👍😎😎😎😎 where's Co pilot
Available to be imported in the US in 2050 😂
You can import a 1999 version now
@@connoisseuroftigolbittsthey're talking about the Yaris.
@@j4259 ahhh sorry it’s always about GTR’s
When you see so many R34 next to a NSX, you do really see that one is a true sports car and the others are like sledgehammers, super effective but not great to look at
I wish Toyota would bring this car to the United States
❤❤❤😊
❤
Ur not just paying for the part. Gotta cater to the r&d etc. An amazing car if you ask me.
I only clicked on this video because I knew it was masa’s car
Dear larry. Please paint that rocker cover 🙏
Coming from the world of 2 wheels...it's very hard to completely balance a triple. Triples make great low end torque but top end usually loses to an inline 4. Also, there is also the problems of longevity, inline 4 tend to last longer with higher miles.
yeah but this 3 cylinder has 700cc more and also the space for balance shafts, so theres that
@@DarkIzo I guess only time will tell if these cars will last as much ad their siblings like the corolla and camry
All this talk of GT-Rs, i really want a s15 spec R
I wonder if Japanese car dealers does mark ups?
This guy really knows how to sell what is ultimately a dressed up economy car that belongs in hertz parking lots.
Now if only toyota could make a rwd sports car, sad theyve left the market there. They were so good
Sweet car but direct injection's downfall is that it makes every gas engine sound either it's got something wonky in the valvetrain or it sounds like a diesel.. but obvs I would take this vehicle in a heartbeat
insert tyrone biggums meme. u got any more?
Do a lot of people in japan speak english?
my dream is to see larry in an F1 race taking pics
no need those are boring to see
Just makes me even angrier at Toyota that they won’t import that car to the us market…. The GR Corolla is an insult.

Why does the headlights look like they came off the Infiniti q50/60
They should do a carbon hatch that would save a bunch of weight but they might need that weight in the back I am not a engineer so I don't know shit prob just talking out my ass but I bet that hatch is 100 lbs
Rear hatch is aluminium and it the lightest I've ever felt on a production car....
Ill take 2001 gtR, $150kUSD 😅 can I buy a portion for 50k 😅
Sad This is going to be another import to the US😢.
Factory seam spot welding.
Cant you buy a Mexican car, and import into the states?
Or is it set to the same laws for importation of a non North American supplied car? 😢
Sorry, about the question Chen-San, l know that you collect Hot Wheels, and do you collect or have you seen the POP RACE 1/64th scale die casts.
I've just gotten the KPC10 DRIFT V8 Conversion, in a bitchin' met orange.
I've also got some of their wagons, I'm a 'long roof' fan, as l grew up in the UK with ford estates with a very rare black Cortina Mk1 estate.
Then my late father had a mk3 red estate GL, when he sold it, to an old friend who customised the headlights to square ones, (it looked like crap)
Resprayed it a Ford Surf blue, sprayed in his own garage.
He was a good sprayer, and worked in the LAND ROVER paint shop rectification area with my father.
Who personally knew the Spen king and David Bache, and the upper upper managers, as he was chief safety officer for the 'infamous night shift'.
The usual THE Sun, bs stories, if you ever want to know what really went on, drop me an email or Instagram via SPEEDTRIPLEUK.
I really enjoy you bus an holidays to Japan and I would love to see a Honda City Turbo ll with motocompo in hatch and convertible.
One in white the other in YELLOW!!!!!! Pearl paint, a set of alloys as fitted to the Vipercinno owned by the owner of Ex Barrel Brothers on both.
Shimata, I've waffled on and bored you to death, l bet Chen-San..
Happy new year to you and your family and friends and I hope this year we don't lose anyone in January.
But that Yaris, could easily set up a mini collection of the rarer types for someone who has the dollars US & Oz and NZ, yen, English Pound sterling, etc.
You can import any car into the US, temporarily. You just can’t register it. It will never be street legal, unless it’s over 25 years old.
@@VidNibs Ty, I was just interested, as Larry could have brought a Mexican GRHM, and imported it into the states.
He could possibly do the display purposes access or has that now been stopped.
As that was the way, the Federal government would allow the Porsche 959 into the States.
To be legally imported into the US permanently generally a vehicle must meet all FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards) and EPA standards. If they don't meet those standards, there are other legal methods, but most of the legal ways are so expensive and complicated, they aren't done. At 25 years old a vehicle is FMVSS exempt, and at 21 a vehicle is EPA exempt.
We don’t hoarder it lol typical cars salesman
So Boeing. My God.
I think we can't get these in the US because of the stupid chicken tax tariff or the same reason you can't import certain cars before 25 years. Tariffs suck.
hype ruins everything.
75k for a hot hatch wtf prices for shit these days is stupid
It's literally the hottest hatch around, and will just about leave any other production car in the dust on a twisty course....
I need those seats for my grc! 😩😩😩
🦾🛞👍⚙️🫡🌐Awesome
Found you through Dino dc video
EIther a tyre is legal or not, barely legal, makes no sense. Dude's hyping up the car making it look like it's the 8th worldwonder lmfao, it's a stupid Yaris bro with a 3 cilinder engine holy shit.
It's fine to prefer cars with many cylinders, but putting down a car because it only has 3 cylinders or because it is called Yaris, is pretty ignorent... That said, I would use the money, 100000$ market value roughly, as a part payment for a GR Yaris Rally 2. Also a 3 cylinder Yaris ;)
@@onehorsepower he's talking about dry carbon like it's the only car in existance that has it. 100000k for a yaris lmfao. I own 2 cars, one of em is an rs3 8p, the first ever rs3, car itself costed me 33k for a low mileage one, I put around 35k in it in mods. Thats makes lets say 70k which is still way under 100k and trust me that I created a rally car for the road with the mods I have. That car looks better, definitely sounds better, it drives better and for sure goes better.
th-cam.com/video/4XnjqE26RJs/w-d-xo.html
such good quality also lmfao, hey good luck man getting ripped off paying 100k for a Yaris, djeez thats the best laugh I had so far.@@onehorsepower
@@swansmeister 70k is a lot of money, and yeah 100k is imho too much. But you can't compare an old modded car to a factory original that will be worth much more again in 20 years. Now the new GR Yaris is out, you get similar car for maybe half, mod that for 20k and it will be pretty special too. Except the sound, can't beat that with a three but you can't beat 1280kg, modded ones as little as 1100kg... I prefer a lighter, new, car with lsd front and rear from factory....
@@onehorsepower my man, an rs3 8p is only going up in price. Mine is in mint condition with only 40k miles on the clock. My mods are insane, way more insane than any Yaris will ever have (from factory) Just to name some, build engine, one piece billet intake plenum, titanium custom intake, wavetrack differential, bilstein b16 suspension, upgraded 380mm mov-it brakes, oz ultra legera hlt lw wheels, wmi injection build in invisibly, I can go on. I would smoke any Yaris, any place any time, I basically build a rally car for the road. Draggy messured 0-100 2.84, 100-200 6.8 to 6.9. You also know how good it sounds to if you know what a audi 5 banger sounds like. My car is better looking to, the Yaris just looks like it got in a chain collission and was squashed between 2 cars, it's not reliable, many blown up on the track, it's a boy's car like the old type r was (new one looks actualy pretty nice, grown up). One thing the yaris has on me is weight yeah, it's the reason I recently bought a 718 cayman and am modding it as we speak to go on track.
