    awesome quality...as for the noise I think it has more to do with the sensitivity of this guys camera equipment like when reviewers film the engine of the a modern car you would hear clattering that you'd never hear on your own in person...the a350 is just as quiet as a 787 equipped with trents

    Are they using a buzz saw to cut wood in row 18 B😬😆
    On a snowy day they probably have to use full thrust and the buzzsaw sound the air coming off the front fan blade tips are going supersonic. Little sonic booms.

      @chiefnwa  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      they are not allowed to use derated thrust with snow, rain or slush on the runway. I don't know how this plays out in this scenario as the runway was generally clear but I guess it was a TOGA sound.

      I'd say the Trent XWB is more comparable to the GE90 in terms of (takeoff thrust) sound. Trent 1000s seem quieter, and the GEnXs, slightly quieter than them.

    • @FluppiLP
      @FluppiLP 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You have to make sure you compare TOGA takeoffs on both planes. Unless the 787 was in rainy or snowy conditions it probably wasn't toga and I guess derated thrust is a lot quieter on the 787.
      Besides, the 787 is not a competitor for the A350, it's a competitor for the A330

    • @sergevivier2861

      Jeffrey Werner Boeing doesn’t make engines dude. The same major engine manufacturers make power plants for both airframers. Structurally and engine-wise I’m pretty sure the A350 is the quietest twin WB in existence.
      At TOGA power, lifting 280 tones into the air is still going to make some noise 😂

      Delta beats any other US airline hands down, thanks for playing!

      When Delta ordered these Boeing did not have any 787 slots available. Boeing increased production to 14 birds a month trying to catch up but Delta couldn’t or wouldn’t wait. Toss in Airbus’s discounts to try and seal the deal to get Delta started on an a350 fleet and the bean counters at Delta couldn’t help themselves. That 14 planes a month is a record for any wide body aircraft so it’s not like Boeing is hurting. No one is doubting their wisdom in building the 787 instead of trying to match Airbus with a Super Jumbo. Even with all the development costs and unforeseen technology delays, Boeing will recover its investment and then some. Airbus can’t say the same for the 380 even if it is an amazing beast. If Boeing can take the knowledge learned in the 787 and turn the 797 around in good time and on budget, they’ll have set the company up for the next couple of decades.
